Job Summary
We are looking for an EHS Senior Advisor to play a people centred, relationship driven role in shaping how Environment, Health & Safety and Compliance is understood, adopted, and embedded across a defined region.
This role is focused on working with people, not policing them — supporting leaders and teams to integrate EHS into everyday decision-making, strengthening safety culture, and translating strategy into practical action.
The role is hybrid, with regular time spent on site to build relationships, understand operational realities, and support teams where it matters most.
What You’ll Be Doing
Act as a trusted EHS partner, building strong, credible relationships with leaders, managers, and site teams.
Support the delivery and embedding of EHS and Compliance strategies, policies, and standards in a way that is practical and proportionate.
Influence and coach stakeholders to take ownership of EHS outcomes, rather than relying on central control.
Spend time across sites and teams to understand local challenges, support continuous improvement, and promote consistent standards.
Support and guide investigations, helping teams develop effective root cause analysis and meaningful preventative actions.
Carry out site visits, inspections, and assurance activities using a riskbased, improvementfocused approach.
Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers and contractors.
Contribute to regional initiatives, improvement programmes, and adhoc projects aligned to business priorities.
This role is designed for someone who enjoys visibility, collaboration, and influence, rather than a deskbased or purely technical focus.
Management Systems and Embedding
Support the effective use of EHS management systems by helping teams understand expectations and apply them in real environments.
Translate requirements into practical behaviours and simple ways of working.
Encourage ownership and accountability at site level, supporting consistency without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Programmes and Continuous Improvement
Support the rollout and embedding of regional EHS programmes, adapting approach to suit different operational contexts.
Work with stakeholders to ensure EHS initiatives align with business needs and operational priorities.
Share learning and best practice across sites to support cultural maturity and consistency.
Training and Capability
Support the identification of EHS capability and confidence gaps across teams.
Deliver or coordinate engaging briefings, workshops, and conversations that encourage participation and ownership.
Coach and influence leaders to strengthen visible EHS leadership at all levels.
What We’re Looking For
We recognise that strong candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. You don’t need to tick every box to apply.
Experience working in a peoplefacing EHS role or similar advisory or influencing position, ideally within a regulated or higherrisk environment.
A good working knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Wellbeing legislation and how it applies in practice.
A recognised EHS qualification (for example NEBOSH, NVQ, NCRQ or equivalent), or meaningful experience working towards this level.
Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and frontline teams.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and build trust.
Comfortable working across multiple locations and adapting style to different audiences and environments
