Critical Facilities Engineer (Electrical) – Dublin

What You'll Be Doing

As a Critical Facilities Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the electrical and mechanical infrastructure that keeps our data centre operating 24/7.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site infrastructure.
  • Supporting the operation of critical electrical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, battery systems and building management systems.
  • Conducting site inspections and responding to alarms and system alerts.
  • Managing and overseeing specialist contractors and maintenance vendors.
  • Completing repairs, fault-finding and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Maintaining accurate operational documentation, procedures and maintenance records.
  • Supporting infrastructure improvement projects and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Following permit-to-work and safety processes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assisting with incident response and troubleshooting activities when required.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from fully qualified electricians who are looking to develop their careers in a critical operations environment.

Essential

  • Recognised Electrical Qualification (Apprenticeship, Degree etc)
  • Strong electrical installation, maintenance or fault-finding experience.
  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to high standards of workmanship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, construction, pharmaceutical, utilities, healthcare, automation, facilities management, or other critical environments.
  • Experience working with generators, UPS systems, switchgear or building management systems.

No previous data centre experience? That's absolutely fine. If you have strong electrical skills from a mission critical environment and the desire to learn, we'll provide the training and support needed to help you succeed.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 09:00 – 18:00
  • No shift work

Following successful completion of your training and typically after 6–12 months in role, you'll have the opportunity to join the on-call rota (approximately once every 7–8 weeks), supported by an experienced team.
