Role Summary
Equinix is seeking a hands-on Staff DevSecOps Platform Engineer to support the design, implementation, and enhancement of secure CI/CD and platform engineering capabilities within the Engineering Excellence (E3) organization.
This role will focus on DevSecOps automation, cloud-native platform engineering, security integration, and AI-assisted operational workflows that improve software delivery, developer productivity, and platform reliability across engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, experience building CI/CD pipelines, and exposure to Kubernetes, security tooling, and modern AI/LLM technologies.
Responsibilities
CI/CD & Platform Engineering
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related DevSecOps tooling.
- Develop reusable platform automation and workflow capabilities to improve engineering efficiency and deployment consistency.
- Support Infrastructure as Code implementations using Terraform, Bicep, and/or CloudFormation.
- Support containerized and Kubernetes-based application environments.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve software delivery practices.
Security & DevSecOps
- Integrate SAST, DAST, and SCA security scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support implementation of Secure SDLC and shift-left security practices.
- Assist with policy-as-code controls, secrets management, and IAM-related automation.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation and security compliance initiatives.
AI / GenAI Automation
- Support implementation of AI-enabled automation capabilities within DevSecOps workflows.
- Contribute to development of RAG-based workflows and operational automation solutions.
- Assist with implementation of agent-based automation frameworks and AI-enhanced tooling.
- Follow responsible AI and security best practices related to LLM usage and governance.
Required Qualifications
Core Engineering & DevSecOps
- 4–7 years of experience in DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience with:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Kubernetes and container technologies
- Infrastructure as Code
- Microservices and distributed systems architectures
Security
- Understanding of Secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience working with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
- Familiarity with IAM, secrets management, and security automation concepts.
AI / GenAI
- Exposure to LLM technologies and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with RAG pipelines or agent-based frameworks is preferred.
- Understanding of AI security and governance fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with observability or AIOps platforms.
- Exposure to MLOps concepts and model lifecycle workflows.
- Experience with QA automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and compliance automation.
