Job Posting: Project Manager, Nordics

Equinix is a leading provider of digital infrastructure and data center services in Finland and globally. In Finland, our operations are growing rapidly, and we are now looking for a Project Manager to strengthen our Nordic Operations team.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring their smooth execution from start to finish. You will build and maintain effective collaboration with various stakeholders and act as the client’s representative throughout all project phases. You will be responsible for project schedules and cost tracking. You are skilled to communicate client requirements and objectives clearly, both in writing and verbally. You will represent the client in project planning, supervision, and contractor meetings, and report on projects to internal stakeholders. As a Project Manager, you will ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with Equinix requirements. You are familiar with project and design tools and can prepare action plans and business case calculations.

You independently resolve complex issues and escalations. You are confident in presenting your views in project meetings. You are detail-oriented and ensure compliance with occupational safety, quality, and security requirements. You are innovative, eager to develop and learn new things, and drive tasks forward proactively. You have an interest in building services engineering and mission-critical HVAC, electrical, and automation solutions. The role requires daily communication with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, in Finnish and English.

Work Environment and Travel

Projects are in the Helsinki metropolitan area in Finland, but the role requires willingness to travel within the Nordic countries and, if necessary, internationally. You will be part of the Data Center Services team supporting the Nordic Operations team in Finland, with your main office in Espoo. At the start of the role, your direct manager will be based in the UK.

Requirements:

• Several years of previous experience as a Project Manager
• Strong verbal and written skills in Finnish and English
• Clean background, as client projects often require a security clearance
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
• Access to a car
• Strong reporting skills and ability to interpret reports

Considered as an advantage:

• Relevant degree (BSc / MSc in Engineering)
• Written and spoken Swedish skills
• Experience in data centers or other critical infrastructure environments
• Experience in building services engineering projects
• Knowledge of Finnish construction legislation and regulations
• Experience in construction project development or client-side consultancy
• Experience in HVAC (LVIS), telecom networks, or automation design
• Experience in procurement (vendor management)
• Proficiency in CAD or similar design software

Projektipäällikkönä vastaat useiden projektien samanaikaisesta hallinnasta ja varmistat niiden sujuvan etenemisen alusta loppuun. Rakennat ja ylläpidät tehokasta yhteistyötä eri sidosryhmien kanssa ja toimit tilaajan edustajana projektien kaikissa vaiheissa. Vastaat projektiaikatauluista sekä kustannusseurannasta. Osaat kommunikoida tilaajan lähtötiedot ja tavoitteet projekteissa niin kirjallisesti kuin suullisesti. Toimit tilaajan edustajana projektien suunnittelu-, valvonta- ja urakoitsijapalavereissa, ja raportoit hankkeista sisäisille sidosryhmille. Projektipäällikkönä valvot, että projektit toteutuvat Equinixin vaatimusten mukaan. Osaat käyttää projekti- ja suunnittelutyökaluja ja osaat laatia toimintasuunnitelmia sekä business case -laskelmia. 

Ratkaiset monimutkaisia ​​kysymyksiä ja eskalaatioita itsenäisesti. Uskallat tuoda näkemyksesi vahvasti esille hankepalavereissa. Olet luonteeltasi tarkka, ja huolehdit osaltasi työturvallisuus-, laatu- ja turvallisuusmääräysten noudattamisesta. Olet innovatiivinen sekä innokas kehittämään ja oppimaan uutta, ja viet asioita tarmokkaasti eteenpäin. Olet kiinnostunut kiinteistötekniikasta ja kriittisen infrastruktuurin tuotantokriittisistä LVIS- ja automaatioratkaisuista. Tehtävä edellyttää päivittäistä kommunikaatiota sidosryhmien kanssa suullisesti ja kirjallisesti, niin suomeksi kuin englanniksi. 

Työympäristö ja matkustus

Projektit sijaitsevat Suomessa pääkaupunkiseudulla, mutta tehtävä edellyttää matkustusvalmiutta Pohjoismaissa ja tarvittaessa myös muissa maissa. Toimit osana Data Center Services -tiimiä tukien Nordic Operations -tiimiä Suomessa, ja päätoimipisteesi on Espoossa. Esihenkilösi sijaitsee tehtävän alkaessa Englannissa.

Edellytyksemme:

• Aiempi usean vuoden työkokemus projektipäällikkönä
• Hyvä suullinen ja kirjallinen suomen- ja englanninkielen taito
• Nuhteeton tausta, koska asiakasprojektimme edellyttävät usein turvallisuusselvityksen tekemistä  
• Paineensietokykyä ja joustavuutta
• Oman auton käyttömahdollisuus
• Hyvä raportointitaito sekä raporttien tulkitseminen 

Eduiksi katsomme:

• Soveltuva koulutus (AMK/DI)
• Kirjallisen ja suullisen ruotsinkieltentaidon
• Työkokemus datakeskus- tai muulta kriittisen infrastruktuurin alalta
• Työkokemus kiinteistötekniikkaprojekteista
• Kokemus suomalaisesta rakennuslainsäädännöstä ja -säädöksistä
• Työkokemus rakennuttamisesta tai rakennuttajakonsultoinnista 
• Työkokemus LVIS- ja televerkko- tai automaatiosuunnittelusta
• Työkokemus ostohankinnoista (procurement, vendor management)
• CAD- ja vastaavien suunnitteluohjelmien osaaminen.
