Job Summary
The Benefits Program Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of employee benefits programs e.g. Leaves, Recognition, Equinix Benefits etc. This role acts as a Benefits CoE partner coordinating and collaborating with internal and external teams, ensuring that the Benefit requirements from a CoE perspective are well stated to facilitate the design of all plans.
Responsibilities
Benefits Design
The Benefits Program Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the setup of various benefit plans, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs, to ensure they are accurately represented in the system. The specialist works with the relevant teams to understand the specific requirements and nuances of each plan, ensuring that all options are correctly configured by the vendor and accessible to employees
System Testing and review
The Benefits Program Specialist is also responsible for coordinating the system testing to ensure the reliability and accuracy of benefits platforms. This involves creating benefit test scripts and overall plan, validating these with the regional teams and coordinating with the vendor to ensure that the benefit designs are updated
After the launch of the benefits platform, the Benefits Program Specialist enters a hypercare phase to ensure that the benefit design specified to the vendor matches employee experience (i.e. the output). The incumbent will collaborate with relevant teams in the case of any defects impacting the design of the benefits and ensure that they are fixed by the vendor
Leaves Management
The Benefits program specialist is responsible for obtaining information across the globe for decision making. This may include extracting relevant information from existing policies and practices as well as coordinating with various teams for proper understanding of the current state of all plans
The role also involves understanding the legal requirements in each country and collaborating with our HRS teams to ensure that our leave plans are compliant with local laws
Review leave plans and make proposals to the regional and Global benefit team
Vendor Management
Work with regional teams and external vendors to implement system updates, enhancements, and integrations
Conduct research and analysis to identify ways to continuously improve global benefits offerings, by defining a pipeline of new programs and identify improvements to current programs to advance Equinix’s strategy
Coordinate with the various teams on the implement the annual calendar – including the upload of the benefit renewal rates in Equinix Benefits, ensuring that changes to benefits are correctly captured in the relevant systems
Other responsibilities:
Partner with EECNs and DIB teams to ensure that new programs are meeting the needs of diverse employee groups and to elicit feedback on policy and process improvement
Utilize data and insights from global benefits platform, workday and SNOW to support a data driven approach to global benefits strategy
Coordinate content management process with services and communications teams
Participate in the rollout of communications for new program launches and setting up roadshows in country
Contribute to the development and execution of the total rewards strategy through data-driven analysis, program design, and implementation
Other global benefits projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. HR, Business, major preferred
5+ years of experience working with Benefit Administration and HCM platforms and their modular components (including but not limited to EDI and API integration, employee benefits, human resources management, payroll, and project management) or equivalent technology operations experience
Extensive knowledge of benefit administration operations and delivery
Ability to operate both independently and in a team setting; relationship-oriented & collaborative
Strong analytical and technical skills
Organized with heavy attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, flexible, & thrives in a fast-paced environment
Clear and appropriate communication with various stakeholders (internal and external) and active listening skill
Comfortable navigating organizational change
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
