We are looking for a Network & Security Operations Manager to lead a team of engineers and support the delivery of a high‑quality, resilient network and security service.
This is a business and service leadership role, focused on operational excellence, team development and service outcomes. The role operates at the service level and works in close partnership with senior leadership to ensure consistent delivery, prioritisation and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will act as a deputy service owner when required, supporting continuity of leadership and decision-making, contributing to stakeholder alignment and service governance, while complementing the broader leadership structure.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Operational Leadership
Support and drive service performance in alignment with service ownership, ensuring stability, availability and quality of delivery
Contribute to service-level decision-making, prioritisation and risk management
Act as deputy service owner when required, representing the service across stakeholders and forums
Drive operational governance, including adherence to standards, processes and controls
People Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Network & Security engineers
Build a high-performing and engaged team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
Own career development, performance management and capability uplift across the team
Establish structured training and development plans to strengthen technical and operational capability
Training, Capability & Continuous Improvement
Own and mature training frameworks, onboarding and knowledge management practices
Identify capability gaps and drive targeted development initiatives
Promote standardisation, documentation quality and operational consistency
Support continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency and service maturity
Reporting & Service Insights
Own operational reporting, ensuring clear, accurate and consistent service visibility
Provide insights on performance, trends, risks and improvement areas
Strengthen data-driven decision-making at the service and leadership level
Ensure reporting supports both operational management and stakeholder communication
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with Platform Owners, Product Owners and Technology Owners to align on priorities and direction
Support cross-functional coordination during incidents, changes and improvement initiatives
Contribute to effective communication across regional and global teams
Scope & Operating Model
This role focuses on leading through people and outcomes, not direct technical execution
Hands-on L3 activities and deep technical leadership are supported by Technology Owners, Platform Owners and Product Owners
The role operates within the leadership layer, complementing service ownership rather than duplicating it
Success is measured through team performance, service outcomes, operational maturity and stakeholder confidence
Requirements
Proven experience leading teams in Network & Security operations or similar environments
Strong understanding of operational service management in complex, international environments
Demonstrated ability to lead through others, build capability and drive accountability
Experience in operational reporting, service performance management and governance
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Nice to Have
Exposure to structured training frameworks or capability development programmes
Experience driving operational maturity and standardisation initiatives
Familiarity with network and security technologies (sufficient to guide and challenge, not to execute)
What Success Looks Like
A high-performing, engaged team with clear ownership and accountability
Improved service visibility through structured, consistent reporting
Strong training and capability development embedded within the team
Clear operational governance and decision-making at the service level
Effective partnership across leadership, enabling continuity and resilience
