Job Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, ServiceNow to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting scalable Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Integrated Risk Management (IRM/GRC) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with Risk, Compliance, Audit, PMO, and IT leadership teams to deliver high-impact automation and visibility across governance and portfolio execution.
Responsibilities
Design & Development
Design, configure and develop ServiceNow solutions with a strong emphasis on: Strategic Portfolio Management (Demand, Project, Resource, Financial, Portfolio), Integrated Risk Management (Risk, Policy & Compliance, Audit, BCM) using ServiceNow best practices
Platform Enhancements
Drive continuous improvements across IRM and SPM applications to support enterprise risk posture, regulatory compliance, portfolio transparency, and investment governance
Solution Architecture
Serve as the lead solution architect for ServiceNow SPM and IRM, owning end-to-end technical design, Define and govern data models, workflows, security standards across SPM and IRM. Drive platform scalability, performance and technical roadmap
Workflow & Automation
Build and optimize workflows using Business Rules, Flow Designer, Script Includes, IntegrationHub, and custom applications to automate risk, audit, and portfolio processes
Integrations
Design and support integrations with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and IntegrationHub
Governance & Standards
Ensure all solutions comply with platform governance, security controls, performance standards, and release management protocols
Incident, Problem & Change Support
Act as an advanced escalation point (L3) for complex IRM and SPM issues, perform root cause analysis, and support production stability through the SDLC
Upgrades & Health Checks
Support and lead ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and platform health checks to ensure long-term stability and scalability
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Lead technical discussions, solution walkthroughs, demos, and workshops with PMO, GRC, Audit, Security, and leadership teams
Mentorship & Technical Leadership
Review code, mentor junior developers, enforce standards, and promote platform engineering best practices
Documentation
Maintain accurate technical documentation including design specs, data models, integrations, and operational support artifacts
Problem Solving & Critical Thinking
Evaluate not only how to automate, but what should be automated to improve governance, reduce manual effort, and increase transparency
Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
Direct, deep experience implementing and supporting: ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM); ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM / GRC)
ServiceNow CIS – SPM (Required)
ServiceNow CIS – IRM (Preferred)
Experience working in regulated environments (SOX, ISO, SOC, PCI, or similar)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
ServiceNow CIS (SPM & IRM)
Experience with: Performance Analytics & Executive Dashboards, Service Portal / UI Builder, Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models
Cross-domain platform experience with: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, CMDB
Experience working in global delivery models with distributed teams
Prior experience modernizing or scaling enterprise GRC/SPM landscapes
