Job Summary

This role represents a rare opportunity to lead one of Equinix’s most strategic platforms at a pivotal inflection point. For the first time since 2020, Equinix is seeking a transformational product leader to re-imagine and scale Equinix Fabric as the intelligent, AI-enabled foundation for the world’s digital infrastructure.

As customer architectures evolve toward AI-driven, multi-cloud, and edge-centric models, Equinix Fabric must progress beyond connectivity to become a dynamic, insight-driven interconnection platform. This leader will shape that evolution—combining product strategy, data, and AI innovation to unlock new customer value, accelerate growth, and extend Equinix’s category leadership.

The role reports to the Vice President of Digital Interconnection.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Set a long-term vision for Equinix Fabric as the global standard for digital interconnection and connectivity in an AI-driven world.

  • Influence Equinix-wide platform strategy, serving as a thought partner to executive leadership on the future of interconnection, AI infrastructure, and ecosystem enablement.

  • Represent Equinix externally as a recognized industry voice on interconnection, cloud adjacency, and AI-driven infrastructure.

Product & Business Management

  • Lead a global team of ~15 product managers, fostering a high-performance, agile culture.

  • Drive revenue and margin performance while unlocking new monetization models enabled by intelligent services (e.g., premium insights, automation, AI-powered SLAs).

  • Evaluate, build, partner, and acquire opportunities to accelerate Fabric Intelligence capabilities globally.

  • Demonstrated success leading platform-scale product transformations, including the introduction of data- and AI-driven capabilities.

  • Experience operating at the intersection of networking, cloud, data platforms, and AI/ML technologies.

  • Proven ability to translate emerging technology into clear customer value and commercial outcomes.

Fabric Intelligence & AI-Driven Innovation

  • Define and own the vision for Fabric Intelligence, including data, analytics, automation, and AI-driven capabilities across the Fabric platform.

  • Lead the evolution of Fabric from a connectivity service to an intelligent, adaptive interconnection platform that anticipates customer needs and optimizes performance in real time.

  • Identify and operationalize AI use cases across networking, capacity planning, assurance, pricing, and customer experience.

  • Partner with data, platform, and AI engineering teams to responsibly integrate emerging AI technologies into product capabilities.

  • Establish measurable outcomes for intelligence-led innovation, including improved customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and differentiated go-to-market value.

What Success Looks Like

  • Transformed Fabric into an AI‑enabled interconnection platform by defining and executing a clear Fabric Intelligence vision and roadmap that delivers measurable customer value.

  • Established Fabric as a top growth engine for Equinix, driving differentiated revenue and margin expansion through intelligent, automation‑led services.

  • Built a high‑performing, globally respected product organization and positioned both the leader and Fabric as market references for intelligent interconnection in AI‑ and multi‑cloud architectures.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in product engineering or product management at a high-growth tech company or enterprise.

  • Experience leading networking product management at a Cloud Hyperscaler or AI Infrastructure provider

  • Proven success leading global software or product teams and managing complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong general management, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities.

  • Master’s degree in Product Management, Business, or Technology preferred.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 240,000 - 360,000 USD / Annual

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 200,000 - 300,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 202,000 - 302,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
