About the Role
We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of a mission-critical platform that orchestrates and manages complex workflows across our global data center operations.
This platform is central to ensuring operational excellence—enabling real-time visibility, seamless coordination of activities, and optimized delivery of customer outcomes. You will work closely with senior engineering leaders to shape a next-generation, distributed workflow orchestration system built for scale, resilience, and efficiency.
As the Product Owner, you will bridge business, operations, and engineering—translating complex operational needs into scalable product capabilities while driving measurable impact across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data center orchestration platform.
- Translate business and operational goals into clear product capabilities and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility, and automation across data center workflows.
Backlog & Delivery Management
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical strategy.
- Break down complex workflows and system requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with engineering to deliver features end-to-end—from concept through production.
Workflow & Platform Design
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define workflow orchestration models and capabilities.
- Drive product requirements for distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and real-time processing.
- Ensure the platform supports scalability, reliability, and operational resilience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to define and refine product requirements.
- Act as the voice of customers (internal and external) and operational stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment across technical and non-technical teams on priorities and trade-offs.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Define KPIs and success metrics (e.g., workflow efficiency, SLA adherence, system reliability).
- Leverage telemetry, operational data, and user feedback to continuously improve the platform.
- Drive decisions based on measurable outcomes and insights.
Execution & Stakeholder Communication
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning in an Agile environment.
- Communicate product updates, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure clarity and transparency in priorities and delivery timelines.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management or product ownership experience in enterprise or platform environments.
- 2+ years of experience with workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., Temporal, Camunda, Airflow)
- 2+ years of experience with distributed system concepts (scalability, fault tolerance, consistency)
- 2+ years of experience working on platforms supporting real-time operations or mission-critical workflows.
- Proven experience delivering complex, distributed systems or platform-based products.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and backlog management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and operational requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience partnering closely with engineering teams on highly technical products.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
- Event-driven systems and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka)
- Cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS)
- Infrastructure, logistics, or operations platforms
Strong understanding of:
- Microservices architecture
- Observability and operational monitoring concepts
