Critical Facility Engineer
Critical Facilities Engineers are the guardians of our data centers' physical infrastructure. They ensure that everything from power systems to cooling and fire suppression runs smoothly and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Monitor and respond to building alarms and site inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Support automation and controls systems (like BMS and SCADA) to optimize energy efficiency.
Data Center Customer Operations
This team is the face of Equinix for our customers inside the data center. They combine technical know-how with customer service to deliver seamless experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain physical hardware like servers and cabling.
- Provide 24/7 support to resolve customer issues and requests.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and infrastructure management.
- Ensure smooth communication between technical teams and customers.
