Job Summary

The Product Software team at Equinix builds next-generation software products and architecture for our product software and services offerings. We are seeking engineers to serve as a technical pillar for the organization. In this role, you will not only design and develop product software application but also define the architectural standards for consistent APIs and event-driven microservices. You will act as a bridge between product vision and technical execution, collaborating with engineering leaders and product managers to abstract complex enterprise workflows into scalable, resilient systems. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, product quality and secure code is essential

 

Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis

• Supplies and gives feedback on requirements/functional designs

• Attends and participates in requirement definition meetings

 

Software/Application Architecture

• Participates in the architectural review process

 

Software Design

• Participate actively and gives towards solution designs for projects, enhancements, and cross-functional improvements

• Participates actively in design reviews

 

Development/Coding

• Develops and maintains high-quality code for projects, improvements, and integrations

• Participates in peer code review and addresses defects

• Adheres to the established coding standard methodologies

 

Quality

• Develops unit and multi-functional tests, automated test scripts implements test cases, logs issues, handles issues, records and runs automated test scripts

 

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development

• Strong experience with React, Redux, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps

• Understanding of full-stack principles, including state management, API integration, and responsive design

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
