Job Summary

The Business Operations Catalyst team is Equinix’s internal consulting and sprint execution engine, partnering directly with senior leaders to solve the company’s most complex, high-impact enterprise problems. Catalyst engagements typically run 3-6 months, rapidly mobilizing cross-functional teams to drive clarity, decisions, and actionable execution plans before transitioning ownership to the long-term business owner. 

A Strategy Senior Analyst in the Catalyst Team is an impact-oriented problem solver who supports cross-functional leaders to frame ambiguous business problems, conduct discovery and analysis, and translate insights into clear recommendations and action plans. This role independently executes discrete workstreams, builds simple models and visualizations, and drives adoption through sound project and change-management practices. 

This role requires strong synthesis capabilities, executive presence, and the ability to quickly connect dots across a diverse type of ambiguous, complex problems. 

 

Responsibilities 

Impact‑Oriented Problem Solving and Decision Making 

  • Select and apply problem-solving techniques. Independently execute analyses to identify root causes, connect data and qualitative inputs, and develop insights

  • Identify risks, implications, and downstream impacts, balancing strategy, execution realities, and enterprise considerations

  • Frame ambiguous problems, synthesize insights, and develop decision options with clear recommendations and outlined trade-offs

  • Use core analysis and visualization tools effectively (e.g., Excel formulas and pivot tables; BI visualizations)

  • Contribute to business cases and value tracking approaches, including inputs to benefits definition and measurement

Adaptable Leadership and Facilitation 

  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to resolve ambiguity, align stakeholders, and converge on solutions, especially in time-sensitive or high-pressure environments

  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining a solution orientation

  • Plan and facilitate discovery interviews (e.g., develop interview guides, lead discussions, synthesize themes) and conduct benchmarking using internal and external sources

Synthesis and Strategic Communication 

  • Clearly understands and communicates the vision and objectives of the engagement, providing clear day-to-day direction to their workstream team

  • Connect disparate inputs and synthesize complexity in real-time, driving clarity, alignment and momentum

  • Develop clear, executive-ready narratives that translate complex initiatives into a clear story tailored to the audience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate difficult messages constructively and active listening to accurately understand stakeholder perspectives

Program Ownership & Execution 

  • Lead cross-functional workstreams end-to-end, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination

  • Create, maintain and own core project management artifacts (e.g., charter, RAID log, project plan, governance) and establish working cadences

  • Support change and adoption by creating stakeholder impact assessments, coordinating handover plans, and tracking adoption actions

  • Tracks the project status. Identifies, monitors and escalates risks, actions and decisions

Trusted Partnership 

  • Build credibility and trust with stakeholders quickly

  • Regularly interact with and present to senior leaders (including VPs) and influence decision-making through data-driven storytelling

  • Partner effectively across teams, demonstrating sound judgment, discretion, and an enterprise mindset

 

Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience; management consulting or internal consulting preferred 

  • Proven success leading cross‑functional projects   

  • Results-driven problem solver with critical thinking and analytical skills 

  • Ability to synthesize, distill, and simplify information 

  • Quick learner and ability to think on your feet 

  • Solid executive presence and communication skills 

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to influence  

  • Able to navigate ambiguity 

  • Ability to pivot between the big picture and the details

  • Tenacity to push through challenges and solve hard problems 

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 88,000 - 132,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
