Job Summary
Defining, contracting, installation, managing all connectivity requirements and cabling capacity in the facility. Develops and delivers internal/external projects (including developing project plans/task lists) and fulfill stakeholders' needs.
Responsibilities
Planning
Develops and execute project plan/task list using an appropriate planning tool, working with information and direction obtained across multiple functional teams
Stakeholder Management
Awareness of key stakeholders across functional areas, and map out stakeholder lists
Able to identify the needs of stakeholders and keep them engaged
Communications
Communicates with a broader group of stakeholders beyond the project team
Identify and use appropriate communication tools and templates (i.e. emails, teams, status reports)
Seek approval from management for circulation of restricted documents
Risk Management
Identify and captures project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies for their projects
Manages risks effectively and escalate when necessary
Project/Program Delivery
Develops and delivers cabling and connectivity projects for internal/external customers
Provide support on global or cross-functional projects
Resource Management (manpower, capacity... etc.)
Manages vendor manpower to fulfill projects deliverable
Manages connectivity capacity to ensure on-time delivery of connectivity services
Customer Care
Has a general technical knowledge of Equinix products/processes
Resolves standard issues independently (complex with manager assistance)
Manages customer deployments (mid-to-high level complexity)
Manages internal activities of cross-functional groups to ensure commitments are met
Handles mid-level escalations independently (manager-assisted otherwise)
Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in Project Management role preferred
1+ years’ experience in Vendor management preferred
Diploma to bachelor’s degree preferred
Familiar with cabling standards
Familiar with testing requirement and equipment (OTDR, OLTS, Power Meter, and VFL)
