Role Summary  
The GOA Apprentice and Intern Lead is responsible for the deployment and management of the global apprentice and intern program at the local level. In this role, the Lead manages apprentices and serves as the primary training contact for interns. The Lead is also the main point of contact for apprentices, interns, local operations teams, and external educational partners. The role ensures that global program standards are aligned with local implementation, focusing on providing a consistent and positive experience for all participants in the program.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Regional Responsibilities — Apprenticeship 

  • Manage local apprentices and provide ongoing guidance and support throughout the apprenticeship period. 

  • Implement and manage the global apprentice Onboarding and training program locally in alignment with global guidelines and timelines. 

  • Coordinate and oversee the scheduling and delivery of On-the-Job Trainings (OJT) and Skills Assessments (OCLs), in partnership with the GOA regional training manager and field instructors. 

  • Coordinate LMS activity and act as the point of contact for program participants, including assignments and tracking of progress. 

  • Support regional curricula alignment. 

  • Manage logistics and events, including graduation ceremony, socials, and Open House demos. 

  • Manage and forecast the region-level training budget. 

  • Facilitate regular program assessments and check-ins to monitor progress and engagement. 

  • Help apprentices prepare for external certifications and exams. 

  • Support performance remediation and individual improvement plans. 

  • Assign technical mentor and buddy. 

 

Regional Responsibilities — Internship 

  • Serve as the primary local training touchpoint for interns and provide support where necessary. 

  • Implement and manage the global intern Onboarding and training program locally in alignment with global guidelines and timelines. 

  • Coordinate and oversee the scheduling and delivery of On-the-Job Trainings (OJT) and Skills Assessments (OCLs), in partnership with the GOA regional training manager and field instructors. 

  • Coordinate LMS activity and act as the point of contact for program participants, including assignments and tracking of progress. 

  • Manage logistics and events, including graduation ceremony, socials, and Open House demos. 

  • Manage and forecast the region-level training budget for training. 

  • Facilitate regular program assessments and check-ins to monitor progress and engagement. 

  • Supports the assignment technical mentor and buddy. 

 

Partnership Management Responsibilities — Apprentices 

  • Maintain relationships with local colleges, training providers, and external partners. 

  • Align school curriculum and local training requirements with the internal program. 

  • Coordinate and ensure compliance with school-required assessments, reporting, and check-ins. 

  • Provide external training results for internal reporting via internal tool. 

  • Engage with ITS to ensure strategic program alignment across all global programs for external partnerships. 

 

Compliance and Continuous Improvement Responsibilities — Both 

  • Monitor and ensure local regulatory compliance, including EHS. 

  • Provide insights for improvement and gather feedback from participants, including end-of-cohort feedback. 

  • Maintain understanding and overview of reporting and dashboards. 

 

Content Creation / Instructional Design Support 

  • Support the GOA LXD (Instructional Design) team with creation of learning content by providing knowledge, reviewing materials, and giving feedback. 

  • Support translation efforts for learning content. 

 

Communications and Engagement

  • Act as the key liaison between Global Operations (GOA) and Local Operations to ensure seamless communication and program alignment. 

  • Work closely with team leaders and department managers to support apprentice and intern integration into daily operations.
