Who are we?

Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.

A place where bold ideas are welcomed, human connection is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shape their future.

A career at Equinix means being at the center of shaping what comes next and amplifying customer value through innovation and impact. You’ll work across teams, influence key decisions, and help shape the path forward. You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.

About the role

Equinix is looking for an ambitious and driven AI Engineering Intern to join our Enterprise AI Team. This is not a "shadowing" internship; you will be a core developer of AI and ML solutions designed to revolutionize how we run our business.

You will focus on building AI agents and machine learning models that support our AI initiatives, while contributing to the broader work that drives intelligent, data-driven decision making across the business.

What you will work on

  • Build AI agents that integrate with and extend our existing AI/ML products.

  • Develop and evaluate machine learning models, from experimentation through to integration into our systems.

  • Contribute to data pipelines, preprocessing workflows, codebase improvements, testing, and documentation as the project requires.

  • Explore and apply current research in AI/ML to practical problems — we expect you to bring ideas, not just execute tasks.

What we are looking for

  • Strong programming skills in Python.

  • Comfort with Git and standard software engineering practices: version control, testing, and code review.

  • Solid grounding in machine learning.

  • Familiarity with Large Language Models.

  • Some hands-on experience with at least one of: agentic frameworks, RAG architectures, or prompt engineering — through coursework, personal projects, or research.

  • Ability to work with data: SQL and Python data manipulation libraries (pandas, numpy).

Good to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

  • Famil Familiarity with DevOps or ML infrastructure concepts — containerization, cloud deployment, or CI/CD pipelines.

Required

  • Currently pursuing an MS degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in the penultimate year of your master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2026 – September 2027).

  • Available to work full-time during the 12 weeks summer internship period (June – September) in our Warsaw office

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.
