Equinix COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

For Singapore Employees:

We are committed to help keep our communities and our teams safe. Our COVID-19 vaccination policy for our workplace aligns with the government advisory on this topic found here

For US Employees:

At Equinix, we’re tasked with leading in the communities we serve — and doing our part to help keep our communities and our teams safe. Our #IamSafeIBelongIMatter culture transcends and informs all we do. In alignment with our culture, as well as our status as a U.S. federal contractor, Equinix will be mandating all US-based employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If you are unable to get a vaccine due to a medical condition, or sincerely held religious belief, Equinix will consider exemption requests as an accommodation. The recruitment team will work with you to outline specific dates as it relates your candidacy.

Q. Who is required to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19?

A. All Equinix employees based in the U.S. and its territories. The requirement to be fully vaccinated applies equally to all of our IBX employees, office employees and our remote employees.

Q. Are all COVID-19 vaccines accepted?

A. For the United States, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has currently authorized three vaccines to protect against COVID-19: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen. These are all widely available. In addition, COVID-19 vaccines that have been listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization are also accepted (e.g., Astra Zeneca/Oxford).

Q. As a candidate, when will I be asked to provide proof of vaccination?

A. Candidates will be asked to provide proof of vaccination during the onboarding process after they have received an offer.

Q. Does the U.S. Presidential Executive Order allow for exemption requests due to medical reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs in the U.S.?

A. Yes, the U.S. Presidential Executive Order includes provisions for an exemption as an accommodation for an employee who communicates that they cannot be vaccinated against COVID-19 because of a medical condition or a sincerely held religious belief. All exemption requests will be reviewed by HR as soon as possible after receipt of the required exemption request forms and supporting healthcare provider documentation. If the exemption is NOT granted, you will be required to comply with the vaccination requirement.

Q. As a candidate, can I request an exemption?

A. If you are a candidate in an active recruitment process, please speak with your recruiter about the possibility of submitting an exemption request.
