Competition Terms & Conditions 
GDPR Information Clause

Competition duration: 23.09-10.10.2025

Organizer: Equinix (UK) Limited, 11 Devonshire Square, London, United Kingdom, EC2M 4YR. 

Competition participants: Participants of Women powering data centers: Talent and Transformation event and entering naming competition for the community. 

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The organizer of the competition is Equinix (UK) Limited, with its registered office at  11 Devonshire Square, London, United Kingdom, EC2M 4YR  hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer".

2. The rules of the competition are defined in these terms & conditions, which come into effect on the day the competition starts, i.e., on 23.10.2025 from 00:00 and remain in effect until its completion, i.e., until 5.10.2025 at 24:00.

3. Only individuals who have reached the age of 18 by the start date of the competition and consumers within the meaning of Article 22[1] of the Civil Code with full legal capacity can participate in the competition. 

4. The competition is conducted online at Equinix landing page https://careers.equinix.com/women-powering-data-centre-event-naming-cometition .

5. The competition involves filling in the form with name idea, first name, surname and email address. 

6. Participants must submit their responses through the designated form on the landing page. 

7. Jury: Marta Stachowiak, Claire Jones and Lisa Dingwall will select winning name by 8th of October. 

8. The winner of prize will be announced at the next community event. The date and place is to be still confirmed.  

9. The Organizer is not responsible for the inability to contact the participant or deliver the prize due to reasons on the participant's side, especially in case of failure to provide or providing incorrect information, changes in participant's information without notification. In such cases, the prize is forfeited.

2. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION

The condition for participation in the competition is:

1. Participation in the naming competition.

2. Giving consent to the processing of personal data for participation in the competition for naming community. 

3. Giving consent to the processing of personal data to enable Equinix (UK) Limited to contact for marketing and recruitment processes conducted by Equinix UK.

4. Completing the contact form and participating in naming competition.

3. COMPETITION SCHEDULE

1. Participating in naming competition from 23.09.2025 until 5.10.2025. 

2. The winner will be notified by the Organizer during next community event.

4. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

CONSENT TO PROCESS PERSONAL DATA FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION[AA2] 

I hereby give consent to the processing of my personal data, including my name and email address, for the purpose of participating in the competition for participants of naming competition, including conducting all activities related to the competition and awarding prizes. I confirm that I have read the information clause regarding the processing of personal data.

We inform you that the administrator of your personal data is Equinix (UK) Limited with its registered office at  11 Devonshire Square, London, United Kingdom, EC2M 4YR. Purposes and Legal Basis for Data Processing 

The data is processed for the purpose of conducting the competition organized by Equinix (UK) Limited, based on the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC. 

Data Recipients

The data may only be disclosed to authorized entities based on legal provisions. The Administrator will not transfer the data to third countries. 

Data Retention

Your personal data will be retained and will be processed for the purpose of participating in the naming competition, including conducting all activities related to the competition and awarding prizes for the duration of the competition and for a period of 2 years thereafter, unless you withdraw your consent earlier. In the event of withdrawal of consent, your personal data will be processed only for archiving purposes, as evidence, for the period appropriate for the limitation of claims, which will be a maximum of 5 years.

Data Subject Rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify them, delete or limit their processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Please direct the above-mentioned requests to the email address provided in the Data Administrator section. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the above-mentioned Regulation. Providing data is voluntary but necessary for the above-mentioned purposes. Your data will not be processed in an automated manner, including profiling.

CONSENT TO PROCESS PERSONAL DATA TO CONTACT FOR MARKETING AND RECRUITMENT PROCESSES CONDUCTED BY EQUINIX UK

I give consent to the processing by Equinix (UK) Limited of my personal data, including my name, surname, and email address, for the purpose of enabling  Equinix (UK) Limited to contact me for marketing and recruitment processes conducted by  Equinix (UK) Limited for a period not exceeding 2 year from the date of giving consent. I confirm that I have read the information clause regarding the processing of personal data.

Purposes and legal basis for data processing

The personal data provided by you will be processed by the administrator for marketing and recruitment purposes, based on your consent given in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR*, to participate in recruitment processes conducted by Equinix (UK) Limited. 

Data recipients

Personal data may be disclosed to employees or associates of the data administrator, as well as entities providing support services to the administrator based on commissioned services and in accordance with concluded entrustment agreements, especially in the area of recruitment support.

Data retention period

Your personal data will be processed for marketing and recruitment purposes until the withdrawal of consent, but no longer than for a period of 2 years. In the event of withdrawal of consent to the processing of data for marketing and recruitment purposes, your personal data will be processed only for archiving purposes, as evidence, for the period appropriate for the limitation of claims, which will be a maximum of 5 years.
