Job Summary

Equinix is looking for a Vice President of Integrated Talent Services to join the Global Organizational and Talent team. In this role, you will shape Equinix's strategic direction in Integrated Talent Services, leading the function to support the company’s evolution into a platform company and enhancing capabilities in product development, software development, and hyperscale data centers. Collaborating closely with Equinix leaders, you will develop and implement initiatives to operationalize the Integrated Talent Services engine and bring recruiting excellence during a period of accelerated growth and transformation. 

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Expertise 

  • Deliver excellence in the TA function by bringing a focus on process improvement and applying Lean methodology to establish discipline and conformity in hiring practices. Build a dynamic, flexible TA model that improves acquisition metrics (e.g. reduce cycle time, cost per hire, time to hire, etc.)

  • Provide market intelligence to influence the strategic workforce plan, facilitating the shift from a singular product strategy to an integrated platform company

  • Partner with business leaders, HRBPs, HR CoEs, regional ITS leads, recruiters, and other key partners to analyze business goals, identify talent needs/gaps, and create and implement programs to find the right talent for current and future workforce planning strategies.

  • Strengthen existing pipelines and develop new sources, significantly advancing active external market outreach

  • Improve social media presence, identify the most effective channels to drive candidate interest, and articulate proven return on investment with the approach

  • Continue to evaluate and implement changes to current hiring practices to align with and deliver on our diversity, inclusion, and belonging strategy

  • Capture and analyze competitive industry information regarding salary, benefits, and employment practices to share with HR partners and the business

Strategic Talent Advisor to the Business 

  • Support the development of the Executive Team as transformational leaders to accelerate organizational change, collaborating with Corporate Communications and Senior Business Leaders to design and implement a comprehensive change approach aligned with company strategy, including effective leadership and conflict resolution to enhance communication, teamwork, and organizational performance

  • Drive strategies, initiatives, processes, programs, executive planning efforts, and change and transformation projects to enhance efficiency, quality, and expertise

  • Lead initiatives to enhance business performance and informed decision-making

  • Assess organizational culture, facilitate change management, provide coaching and guidance to leadership, and partner with HR teams to ensure the organization has the necessary people, processes, and systems in place to achieve its goals

  • Develop an understanding of the implications of shifting culture and establish a flagship project to highlight benefits and impact

Team Leadership 

  • Build, influence, and lead a highly efficient Integrated Talent Services team that delivers an exceptional candidate and employee experience

  • Bring leadership, mentorship, and career development to your team to achieve recruiting goals

  • Analyze Integrated Talent Service team success against key metrics to drive decisions in sourcing and recruiting approaches that meet business needs

  • Propose and synthesize key objectives for the upcoming year and ensure each direct report shares their strategy to execute set objectives

  • Cascade KPIs and goals throughout the function, aligning compensation with KPIs and tying performance reviews to achievement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA or master’s degree in a related field preferred

  • 15+ years in business operations, human resources, organizational effectiveness, training, and development and recruiting preferred

  • Ability to develop and implement long-term talent acquisition strategies aligned with company goals, while leading, and inspiring a team of recruiters and specialists

  • Demonstrated excellence in the function with a strong emphasis on process improvement. Proficiency in applying Lean methodology to enhance discipline and consistency in hiring practices

  • Experience working in and/or helping to establish a challenger brand in the marketplace – positioning a company as a disruptive force, actively challenging the established market leaders, and identifying unique value differentiators to help secure exceptional talent.

  • Deep understanding of industry trends and best practices

  • Proven track record developing and implementing global recruitment strategies. Familiarity with global labour markets and regulations

  • Dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion in recruitment processes, with high ethical standards

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in managing multiple, timelines, and deadlines. Possesses a data-driven approach to addressing challenges.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior executives, and redesign learning tools and platforms for efficiency

  • Highly effective leader who can manage, coach, and develop teams, fostering a trusting and psychologically safe work environment

  • Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced, and dynamic environment, working under time pressure to drive change, make informed decisions, and communicate them clearly and concisely

  • Strong people judgment, ability to make tough decisions, influence and educate others.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and departments, ensuring alignment of recommendations with organizational goals and adaptability to changing circumstances

  • Ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders across all organizational levels, effectively communicating to drive success

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $242,000 to $364,000 per year


Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
