Reporting to Equinix's SVP Global Partner Sales & Programs, the VP Partner Strategy & Transformation is responsible for translating strategic intent into organized, accountable, enterprise-wide action. This leader owns the development of the multi-year partner strategy and drives the transformational initiatives required to execute against it. The role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration and influence capabilities as well as the ability to work with authority across the Partner leadership team, driving alignment and removing blockers. Additionally, the role supports the SVP to ensure the strategy is coherent, well-communicated and consistently progressed.

Main Responsibilities & Accountability

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop a comprehensive multi-year transformation strategy for the Partner organization aligned with the enterprise strategy. 

  • Orchestrate the strategic planning cadence – annual planning, QBRs – leveraging external and internal data insights

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the SVP bringing an independent perspective into decisions

  • Develop and maintain the strategic narrative consumable for internal and external audiences

Lead Transformation Initiatives

  • Design and lead a portfolio of GTM transformation initiatives: through EOY ‘26, be the Point of Contact on the McKinsey SOW; in FY27 and beyond continue the next stages across all priority workstreams

  • Establish an operation model that tracks progress, identifies owners/timelines and flags risks

  • Conduct internal and external research to ensure the strategy and transformation efforts are current and well-informed

Operation Model & Org Design

  • Partner with HR and Sales Ops to identify the org design changes required to support the long-term strategy success to maximize productivity and profitability; conduct ongoing assessments of progress and adapt as needed

  • Document the interdependencies between roles in the Partner org and cross-functional teams and ensure the right operating model is in place, including stakeholder alignment and implementation planning

Cross-Functional Alignment and Change Leadership

  • Build trusted relationships at all levels across the company to influence change with minimal friction

  • Partner with HR on the change management plan to win over “hearts and minds effectively, tracking adoption levels and remediating any roadblocks or pockets of resistance

  • Lead the internal communications cadence so the partner organization has clarity on where it is going, why, and what is expected of them

Office of the Executive

  • Ensure the leader is prepared for every key internal, or external engagement

  • Be the glue across the organization – ensure information flows effectively in all directions and ensure the leader has visibility of what’s going on

  • Manage the SVP’s calendar to ensure time is invested on the highest-impact priorities and critical stakeholders

  • Represent the executive in key cross-functional forums, operating as a credible proxy on strategy and transformation topics

  • Deep leadership experience across strategy, transformation,  senior Chief of Staff roles

  • Global perspective with experience operating in more than one region

  • Deep understanding of partner eco-system and all routes to market

  • Proven ability to operate with authority across senior leadership teams

Skils & Attributes

  • Strong strategic thinking capability — able to synthesise complex information, identify what matters, and develop clear, actionable strategic frameworks

  • Great listener who builds trust easily and can quickly drive alignment around a recommended outcome

  • Excellent communication skills — can create compelling messaging and narratives for all audiences

  • Ability to pivot seamlessly between strategic and detailed execution

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 248,000 - 372,000 USD / Annual

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 248,000 - 372,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
