Function, Team, and Role:
As an intern you will be part of Equinix’s Global Sustainability Program Office (SPO) team. The SPO team is responsible for developing the regional sustainability strategy with an emphasis on environmental and social impact and accelerating Equinix’s progress on our 2030 global climate-neutral commitment.
The role of the intern will be focused on supporting the local SPO team, as well as the messaging of Equinix’s positions and leadership in our industry and internal integration with marketing and communication messaging. You will have meaningful impact across the business to build a more aligned messaging library in response to growing investor and customer pressure around sustainability.
Assignment and Responsibility:
Apart from general support to the regional SPO office, you will be able to work on a project to further improve sustainability messaging of the company,
Aligning and updating existing messaging between the Sustainability team, Marketing and Communications, to work on renewed messaging in order to improve the sustainability story of Equinix
Increase external and internal visibility and to allow the SPO to demonstrate progress in an attractive way.
Market research and case studies to evaluate new project ideas
Requirements and qualifications:
- Being fluent in English, speaking and writing is a requirement.
- Real interest in sustainability is a must as well as a strong purpose driven desire to make an impact.
- This position will require analytical skills, language sensitivity and a willingness to improve the way Equinix is communicating its sustainability achievements.
- Important tools will be MS PowerPoint, MS word
- Proficient in Advanced Microsoft excel with experience in Data Automation
- Comfortable with independent learning and minimal supervison
- Third or final year Bachelor's undergraduate in Business or Science (i.e Environmental Science, Sustainability)
- Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between May – August 2025)
