Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing data trends and supporting and developing improvement changes

Responsibilities
Data Exploration, Audits, and Cleansing

  • Explores data within multiple database sources to determine correlations and causal relations between variables

  • Creates complex ad hoc reports, using insights from data exploration to build comprehensive reports with visualizations and insights

  • Performs audits of data within business systems/platforms

  • Performs follow-up checks to ensure data quality and accuracy

Problem Solving/Assessment

  • Determines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of functional and/or cross-functional issues (sometimes complex or with a high level of ambiguity)

  • Identifies process gaps and issues

  • Assesses impact of manual workarounds

  • Work to proactively address potential impacts to the business

Alignment, Consistency & Prioritization

  • Supports in making changes to enable customer benefits

  • Participates in cross-functional discussions to drive issues, challenges and prioritization efforts

  • Obtains, creates, and documents business requirements engaging multiple stakeholders

  • Works with the BSAs and development team on solution design and development

  • Assesses solutions from multiple angles

  • Reviews functional design, working closely with BSAs and dev teams to ensure the solution meets requirements

  • Partners with stakeholders to analyze, define and document business processes within and across functional areas

Stakeholder Management

  • Reaches out to stakeholders to clarify requests

  • Manages stakeholder expectations within and/or across functions

  • Makes recommendations of what data should be explored and debriefs with client to explain data insights

  • Identifies and proactively includes correct stakeholders and communications effectively

  • Escalates to resolve complex stakeholder issues

Analytics Coaching

  • Explains data to peers and stakeholders, and prepares them to present data and answer questions

Scheduled Reports

  • Downloads required data and creates pre-defined reports as per defined schedule

  • Delivers reports to stakeholder group and answers questions pertaining to the report
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or relevant engineering discipline preferred or 5+ years of experience in a related technical field

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Proficient in SQL

  • Possess excellent time management skills, is comfortable working independently, and managing multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical skills to work with complex business problems and systems challenges

  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively to large groups

  • Ability to present effectively to executive leadership and articulate business decisions clearly

  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 88,000 - 132,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
