We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and intelligent infrastructure for the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform. This role combines platform engineering, reliability engineering, and MDM platform integration to support data pipelines, APIs, microservices, and real-time event-driven systems.
The Platform Engineer works closely with Data Engineering, MDM teams, SRE, Production Support, and application teams to build resilient, cloud-native platforms that enable high-performance analytics, real-time integrations, and enterprise master data management.
This role emphasizes automation, reliability, API-first architecture, and GenAI-assisted engineering to continuously improve platform efficiency and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities:
Platform Architecture & Engineering
- Design and build scalable, cloud-native platform components supporting:
- Enterprise data pipelines
- MDM orchestration layers
- APIs and microservices
- Real-time streaming architectures
- Develop microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frameworks.
- Build and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and Google Pub/Sub.
- Integrate platform services with MDM systems (e.g., Reltio) and enterprise applications.
- Ensure platform scalability, resilience, and performance through modern engineering practices.
Reliability & Performance Engineering (SRE Practices)
- Ensure high availability and reliability of platform services and data systems.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and reliability metrics.
- Implement disaster recovery and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Partner with SRE and Production Support teams to improve platform stability.
Automation & Infrastructure
- Build infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and remediation workflows.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and safe releases.
- Create reusable platform frameworks and templates to enable self-service engineering.
- Optimize infrastructure cost and performance.
MDM & Integration Engineering
- Design and maintain integration layers for MDM platforms (Reltio or equivalent).
- Build APIs and event pipelines for master data synchronization.
- Ensure schema consistency and data integrity across systems.
- Support real-time and batch integration patterns.
Data Engineering Enablement
- Support development of real-time and batch data pipelines.
- Optimize data workflows and processing frameworks.
- Work with cloud data warehouses and storage systems.
- Enable scalable ingestion and transformation architectures.
GenAI-Assisted Engineering
- Use GenAI tools to accelerate development, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Apply AI-assisted log analysis and anomaly detection.
- Generate automation scripts, documentation, and test artifacts using AI tools.
- Improve operational efficiency through intelligent automation.
Observability & Operations
- Implement monitoring solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
- Develop dashboards and alerting strategies.
- Improve operational runbooks and documentation.
- Support follow-the-sun operational collaboration.
Security & Compliance
- Implement platform security best practices.
- Enforce access controls and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with security teams on audits and governance requirements.
Collaboration & Engineering Leadership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver platform capabilities.
- Advocate DevOps and platform engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Influence platform design for reliability and operability.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, Software Engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale data or platform systems.
Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python. Both
- Experience building microservices and API architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and/or Google Pub/Sub. Both
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (AWS/Azure a plus). GCP
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
Methodologies
- Deep understanding of SRE and reliability engineering principles.
- Knowledge of incident management and root cause analysis.
- Experience with modern SDLC and DevOps practices.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with streaming and real-time data processing frameworks.
- Exposure to data warehouse technologies (BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.).
- Familiarity with API gateways (e.g., Apigee).
- Experience with GenAI tools and intelligent automation.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 118,000 - 176,000 USD / Annual
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 88,000 - 132,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
