Job Summary

The Equinix EMEA energy team are seeking an intern to support energy activities across the region.  The role will be based in London at Equinix’s office in Devonshire Square and the placement will be for a period of six months.

Requirements

Take a pivotal role in the PPA asset management financial activities across EMEA, including

• Budget submissions 

• Invoice validation, querying discrepancies directly with the generator 

• Variance explanation between the budget and actuals  

• Amendment of PPA contracts as required 

• Research energy market trends independently and share relevant insights to colleagues 

• Assist with PPA origination projects in various EMEA markets, including the preparation of materials for internal committee approval meetings 

• Support the roll out of energy dashboards for visualisation and communication of EMEA energy KPIs 

• Liaise with various external contacts, including energy consultants, renewable energy developers, external counsel 

• Support wider energy projects, including contract renewals, across the region 

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 

• Strong organisation, initiative, curiosity, and self-motivation 

• Strong data management, including Microsoft Excel, and macros preferred but not essential 

• Project management experience preferred but not essential  

• Experience with dashboarding (Power BI) preferred but not essential 

• Related professional experience or related university discipline preferred but not essential 

• Priority will be given to candidates graduating within the next 12 months, as Equinix intends to convert the intern position into a full-time role.
