Job Summary

Equinix is looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to join our EMEA Solutions Engineering (Presales) organization supporting the Telco and Media vertical. In this role, you'll work hand-in-hand with Sales Account Executives to understand customer challenges and translate them into compelling technical solutions across Equinix's data center, network, and cloud portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their presales career to build deep technical and commercial skills as part of our Solutions Engineering organization, working on real customer opportunities with mentorship and support from senior team members. 

Responsibilities

Customer & Sales Support 

  • Collaborate with Sales Account Executives to identify customer business needs, challenges, and technical requirements

  • Assist in the preparation of RFI/RFP/RFQ documents and contribute to customer deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer expectations

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing, providing scripted and basic support during sales presentations, customer meetings, and trade shows

  • Coordinate pre-sales support across all Equinix products and services to ensure a seamless customer experience

​Technical Solutioning 

  • Apply a foundational understanding of Equinix data center, network, and cloud products to customer scenarios

  • Analyze situations and data of basic to moderate complexity, applying defined technical processes to develop effective solutions under supervision

Business Impact 

  • Support Sales teams in acquiring new business and maintaining existing customer relationships by providing relevant technical insights and assistance

  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, collaborating with Pre/Post Sales Support & Operations teams to ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to post-sales

Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of data center, network, and/or cloud infrastructure concepts (interconnection experience is a plus)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to both technical and business audiences

  • Ability to manage pre-sales workflows from discovery to quote for typical opportunities, with increasing independence over time

  • A collaborative mindset — you build trust quickly with peers, sales partners, and customers, and you apply feedback constructively

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and coordinating across multiple internal teams

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications) or equivalent practical experience preferred

  • Fluency in English required; German or additional European languages a plus

Responsabilités 

Service à la clientèle et soutien commercial  

  • Collaborer avec les responsables des comptes commerciaux pour cerner les besoins des clients, les défis qu’ils rencontrent ainsi que les exigences techniques auxquelles ils doivent se conformer

  • Contribuer à la préparation de documents de demande d’information et d’appel d’offres ainsi qu’aux livrables en veillant à la satisfaction des attentes de la clientèle

  • Communiquer efficacement avec les clients internes et externes, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, en fournissant du soutien de base et selon des scénarios préétablis pendant les présentations de vente, les réunions avec les clients et les salons commerciaux

  • Coordonner le soutien avant-vente pour tous les produits et services d’Equinix afin d’assurer une expérience client harmonieuse

 

​Solutions aux problèmes techniques  

  • Appliquer une compréhension fondamentale des centres de données, des réseaux et des services infonuagiques d’Equinix aux scénarios client

  • Analyser les situations et les données de complexité légère à modérée, et appliquer des processus techniques préétablis pour produire des solutions efficaces sous supervision

 

Influence commerciale  

  • Aider les équipes des ventes à acquérir de nouveaux mandats et à préserver ses relations existantes avec la clientèle en fournissant des renseignements et de l’aide technique pertinente

  • Établir et entretenir des relations avec des intervenants internes d’importance, en collaboration avec les équipes de soutien avant-vente et après-vente et les équipes des activités pour assurer une transition harmonieuse dans le processus de vente

 

Qualités requises 

  • Connaissance de base des concepts de centre de données, de réseau ou d’infrastructure infonuagique (expérience de l’interconnexion, un atout)

  • Excellentes compétences de communication écrite et orale, et aisance à animer des présentations pour un auditoire technique ou commercial

  • Capacité à gérer le flux de travail avant-vente, de la recherche de clients à la production d’un devis pour une possibilité typique, avec une plus grande indépendance au fil du temps

  • Esprit collaboratif : capacité à inspirer rapidement confiance à ses pairs, aux partenaires commerciaux et aux clients, et capacité à appliquer la rétroaction de manière constructive

  • Capacité à travailler dans un milieu dynamique et interfonctionnel et à coordonner avec différentes équipes internes

  • Baccalauréat dans un domaine technique (génie, sciences informatiques, télécommunications) ou expérience pratique équivalente privilégié

  • Maîtrise de l’anglais exigée; connaissance de l’allemand ou d’autres langues européennes, un atout

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Poland - Warsaw Office WAO : 143,000 - 215,000 PLN / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects On-Target Earnings or OTE, which is base pay plus commissions, and does not include equity or benefits. Equity may be offered depending on the position.
