Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive EMS AMER Implementation Lead to oversee the end-to-end delivery of EMS (Equinix Manage Solution) projects in the AMER region. This mid-senior level role ensures that technical activities are executed accurately, maintaining control over scope, resources, timelines, budgets, and seamless transitions to operations. You will manage a project queue, drive implementation strategies aligned with business objectives, lead multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams, and act as a key escalation point for customers, promoting high satisfaction and operational excellence at Equinix, the world's largest digital infrastructure company.

Responsibilities

Portfolio and Project Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of EMS projects, ensuring alignment with validated scope, resources, timelines, budgets, and business priorities, with the customer at the center

  • Manage the AMER Managed Services project queue, driving initiatives to meet revenue targets, reduce backlog, and support peers

  • Direct multiple teams to deliver technical and strategic projects, utilizing and enhancing portfolio/project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMBOK)

  • Act as third-level escalation point for customers, maintaining strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the lifecycle

  • Coordinate decommissions, partial service deactivations, and fulfillment with precision

Technical Expertise and Change Management

  • Apply deep knowledge of IT infrastructure to guide complex implementations and provide technical guidance to teams and stakeholders

  • Implement structured change management to minimize disruptions, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated effectively

Leadership and People Management

  • Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary multicultural team of engineers and specialists, providing continuous feedback, coaching, and building a diverse talent pipeline

  • Foster a culture of accountability, adaptability, and growth aligned with Equinix values

KPIs, Process Improvement, and Resources

  • Define, monitor, and report KPIs/metrics for projects, teams, and business needs; analyze trends and propose improvements

  • Ensure project planning standards, templates, and lessons learned are followed; identify gaps and drive continuous enhancements

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to optimize technical delivery processes and tools

Communication, Networking, and Solution Orientation

  • Manage broad stakeholder communications, balancing effectiveness with pragmatism

  • Build cross-functional networks, negotiate enterprise-impact solutions, and champion organizational changes

  • Act as the highest escalation for complex issues, promoting lateral thinking and swift, ethical resolutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Proven experience in IT project/portfolio management, technology delivery, and managed services (managing complex queues of multiple projects)

  • Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, data analytics, tools, metrics, and KPIs

  • In-depth knowledge of project methodologies (Agile, PMBOK) and best practices

  • Excellent leadership skills to inspire, coach, and manage multicultural and multi-location teams

  • Fluent/Advanced English (spoken and written) required

  • Proactive mindset with strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, adaptability, and customer-first orientation

Additional consideration for

  • Master's degree

  • Fluent/Advanced Spanish (highly desirable)

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada : 99,000 - 149,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
