Who are we?
Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.
Job Summary
Equinix is seeking an AMER Sales Strategy & Operations Manager to own the forecasting infrastructure, data analytics, and operational reporting that power the region's revenue decisions. In this high-visibility role, you will sit at the intersection of data, process, and strategy — translating complex pipeline and performance signals into clear, executive-ready narratives that help AMER Sales Leaders act faster and more confidently. You will be responsible for driving Clari and Salesforce excellence, enforcing the E.D.G.E. methodology, and partnering directly with Business Partners and regional Sales Leaders to build a more predictable, insight-driven revenue engine.
Responsibilities
Forecasting & Reporting
Support the AMER regional forecast end-to-end: consolidate territory inputs into a single regional view, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear commentary on key drivers, risks, and opportunities by product and Data Center
Develop and maintain executive-ready materials for leadership reviews, forecast discussions, planning cycles, and strategic updates
Set and enforce forecasting governance across the AMER SalesOps team: methodologies, assumptions, data standards, and review cadence
Constructively challenge territory leaders' forecasts — identifying assumption gaps, outliers, and areas requiring further explanation
Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, comparability, and predictability through better process, analytics, and operating discipline
Support pipeline hygiene initiatives, ensuring SFDC data quality underpins reliable forecast outputs
Data Analytics
Design, build, and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards that give AMER Sales Leaders and Business Partners self-serve visibility into pipeline, performance, and forecast trends
Enable Sales on available dashboard functionality — ensuring leaders and reps know how to use the tools built for them, reducing dependency on the SalesOps team for routine lookups
Monitor AMER performance metrics continuously; identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the revenue base and translate them into clear, actionable insights with direct revenue implications
Present revenue performance and outlook to senior leadership with clarity, confidence, and a consistent point of view
Business Partner & Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted advisor to AMER Business Partners and Sales Leaders on all elements of forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management — bringing proactive insight, not just reactive support
Engage with Territory and Regional senior leadership on key strategic initiatives and programs; represent the AMER region with credibility and preparation
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all CRO teams are aligned — including Marketing, Customer Success, Channel, Revenue Operations, Compensation, and Enablement
Consult on the execution of the AMER E.D.G.E. Methodology and help operationalize at the territory level, working directly with Business Partners to embed the framework into daily operating rhythms
Strategic Initiatives
Represent the AMER region in cross-functional programs and initiatives related to pipeline generation, funnel hygiene, and revenue operations effectiveness
Lead regional cross-functional projects targeted at improving forecast accuracy, pipeline management, and sales productivity — from problem definition through implementation and measurement
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency and operational clarity; build interim reporting solutions where permanent infrastructure is not yet in place
Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis; present findings and recommended next steps to leadership with a clear point of view on impact and ROI
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or a high-performance sales environment — with demonstrated ownership of forecasting and reporting at scale
Advanced Salesforce.com proficiency: ability to independently build reports and dashboards, manage report types, and troubleshoot data quality issues without admin support
Advanced Clari proficiency: hands-on experience with dashboard configuration, forecast logic, and driving adoption of forecasting methodology across a sales organization
Deep expertise in revenue forecasting, pipeline management, scenario planning, and executive reporting — including experience governing a forecast process end-to-end
Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in data analysis and sales performance metrics; proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets modeling; SQL or BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker) a plus
Excellent communication and storytelling skills: ability to turn complex pipeline and performance data into concise, executive-ready narratives with a clear recommendation
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills — comfortable constructively challenging assumptions and driving accountability with Sales Leaders and senior management
