Job Summary

Drive growth by selling Equinix solutions to expand existing accounts, focusing on large domestic and global enterprises. Lead strategic account planning, manage complex multi-region/multi-metro sales cycles, and coordinate extended sales teams through negotiations and solution delivery.

Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Conduct quarterly business reviews and lead executive briefings to identify new opportunities

Strategic Account Planning

  • Develop and execute global, multi-line-of-business account plans. Research customer business landscapes to uncover priorities and align solutions

Solution Selling

  • Identify customer needs and deliver tailored Equinix solutions. Present and adapt pitches for C-level executives, leveraging internal and external partners

Pipeline & Territory Management

  • Monitor opportunities in Salesforce, forecast accurately, and prioritize accounts for short- and long-term growth

Negotiation & Contract Renewals

  • Lead commercial negotiations and renewals to protect revenue. Utilize internal resources to optimize deal structures and terms

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor junior sales professionals, lead special projects, and share best practices across the team

Professional Experience & Industry Knowledge

  • 5–7 years of B2B enterprise sales experience in IT, telecom, or data center environments

  • Proven success in managing global accounts headquartered in Germany

  • Deep understanding of industry challenges and digital transformation trends

Channel Network & Customer Contacts

  • Strong network with decision-makers in large enterprises

  • Experience collaborating with channel partners and leveraging industry associations

  • Existing relationships in Content & Digital Media and Cloud & IT Services verticals preferred

Soft Skills & Social Selling

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to simplify complex technical solutions for diverse audiences

  • Proficiency in social selling and digital engagement strategies

  • Strong team collaboration aligned with Equinix core values

Results Orientation & KPI Management

  • Consistent achievement of revenue growth and customer acquisition targets

  • Expertise in CRM tools (Salesforce), forecasting (Clari), and MEDDIC methodology

  • Data-driven approach to optimize sales strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Proven track record in enterprise sales and global account management

  • Native German and Fluent English
