Job Summary
Do you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or experience of receiving deliveries and logging information? Our fast-paced Logistics Department is looking for a pro-active team player with customer service skills to join their dynamic team in Slough.
Responsibilities
Documentation & System Updates
Updates and closes shipment orders in a timely fashion
Receives, distributes, and tracks daily shipments and tracks duration of how long materials are in storage
Shipping & Receiving
Maintains records of materials received and shipped; rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary and notifying appropriate stakeholders
Problem Solving
Works with customers and other departments to escalate and resolve shipping and receiving issues
Inventory Management
Maintains appropriate consumable stock levels (e.g. cable connectors, ordering materials at specified minimums)
Equipment
Manages stored and/or abandoned equipment
Data Center Support
Removes/disposes of all packing material from the IBX
Qualifications
Essential
Strong communication skills (English) written and spoken
Good organizational and computer skills
Team player
Proactive
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Adheres to policy and procedures
Attention to detail
Desired
Previous experience in a similar role
Knowledgeable of Stores and Logistics processes
IT Literate
