Job Summary
Designs, develops and manages the lifecycle of a product or group of products from concept to launch to end of life. Translates market opportunities and customer demand into viable products and services that differentiate Equinix in the market. Sets the vision and strategy for their product ensuring it is competitively positioned and customer-centric. Manages the product roadmap including features, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Works cross functionally with user experience, engineering, operations, solution architects, marketing and others to design, build and launch new products and/or product features.
Responsibilities
Own the program to onboard 20+ product/services: Plan and sequence engagements that start with discovery/architecture and culminate in hardening, documentation, and handover
Drive Solution adoption & migration: Translate CPS goals into executable roadmaps, acceptance criteria, and measurable milestones per host service
Lead the teams operating model: Run intake, prioritization, dependency funding, and delivery with minimizing reliance on host teams while maintaining alignment with IAM and platform roadmaps
Productize integration: Define, deliver, and evolve reusable integration templates, SDK-aligned patterns, automation scripts, and onboarding playbooks that reduce cycle time and error rates
Tackle migration blockers: Coordinate with dependent services to pragmatically deliver while executing proactive risk/portfolio management
Improve API Gateway controls & governance: Partner with CPS platform teams to strengthen controls and remove adoption barriers; contribute to SDKs and best practices
Champion automation & CI/CD: Achieve ≥ 70% automation of onboarding steps; design dashboards to monitor progress, stability, and support-ticket trends
Orchestrate handovers: Deliver clear runbooks, support models, and ownership transitions to host teams; measure adoption and readiness post-handover
Stakeholder leadership: Communicate status, risks, and outcomes to product leadership and partner teams
Success Metrics (What “Great” Looks Like)
Onboarding Throughput: Create a flywheel approach that accelerates customer onboarding that leads to timely, full adoption
Automation: Track & eliminate any redundant onboarding steps
Support Reduction: Create material reduction in support tickets across integrated product teams
Qualifications
6-8+ years in Product Management with proven delivery in platform/identity/security domains (IAM, authN/authZ, zero trust, developer platforms, gateways)
Track record operating on cross-functional initiatives that modify host codebases and CI/CD workflows
Strong fluency in identity standards and patterns: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, token exchange, ABAC, RBAC, federation for non-human identities
Experience with API gateways (e.g., patterns with Apigee/Envoy), service mesh, and sidecar-based architectures
Demonstrated ability to productize integrations: templates, SDKs, reference implementations, automation scripts, and playbooks
Excellent stakeholder management - comfortable aligning product teams with competing priorities and negotiating scope/sequence
Data-driven decision making; able to define KPIs, build dashboards, and run continuous improvement cycles
Strong technical acumen (able to review PRDs, read code at a high level, and collaborate closely with senior engineers)
Preferred Experience
Prior work sunsetting legacy IAM stacks and migrating to modern platform services at scale
Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD tooling and automated testing strategies for secure integrations
Experience advancing API governance and security policies without throttling developer velocity
Exposure to reseller/channel dynamics and implications for identity, authorization, and entitlements
Background collaborating with SRE/Platform teams on reliability, observability, and runbook quality
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 163,000 - 245,000 USD / Annual
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 136,000 - 204,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
