Who are we?

Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.

A place where bold ideas are welcomed, human connection is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shape their future.

A career at Equinix means being at the center of shaping what comes next and amplifying customer value through innovation and impact. You’ll work across teams, influence key decisions, and help shape the path forward. You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.

The Summary

Equinix operates across a complex global billing environment spanning countries, products, systems and commercial models. As Senior Manager, Billing Assurance, you will lead the function responsible for identifying potential revenue leakage, strengthening controls and driving issues through to sustainable resolution.

This is more than a traditional assurance role. You will have the mandate to mature a global capability, influence senior leaders across Finance, Commercial, Product, Operations and Technology, and help move assurance towards more proactive, data-enabled risk management.

What you will own

  • Lead, coach and develop a distributed Billing Assurance team across APAC and EMEA.
  • Build a consistent global operating model for assurance intake, prioritisation, investigation, issue management and reporting.
  • Identify and quantify underbilling, overbilling, missed billing, control gaps and process failures across the order-to-cash lifecycle.
  • Prioritise activity based on financial materiality, customer impact and risk.
  • Drive cross-functional remediation, with clear owners, actions, target dates and escalation paths.
  • Provide senior leaders with a forward-looking view of exposure, recovery, remediation progress and emerging risk.
  • Own assurance adoption, business outcomes and value realisation.

How you will shape the future

  • Operate in a data-enabled assurance function, where analytics and AI help surface potential revenue leakage faster and prioritise where to investigate first.
  • Define the assurance priorities, business problems, requirements, success measures and validation criteria that Reporting & Analytics builds into data products (for example, revenue-leakage dashboards, exception and anomaly detection, reconciliation reports and control-monitoring views), automation and AI capabilities.
  • Sponsor and adopt these capabilities as their business owner — ensuring analytical outputs lead to investigation, remediation and measurable value — while the Assurance team retains ownership of investigation, decisions and remediation.
  • Apply business judgement and financial control discipline when evaluating automated or AI-assisted findings.
  • Partner closely with Reporting & Analytics, our centre of excellence for data products, automation, monitoring and AI. You will set the assurance priorities and define what good looks like; they will design and build the capabilities — a deliberate partnership that lets each team play to its strengths and scale faster together.

What you will bring

  • Leadership experience in billing assurance, revenue assurance, finance operations, controls, audit, revenue operations or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of order-to-cash, billing operations, financial controls or contract-driven revenue environments.
  • A track record of identifying revenue risk or control weaknesses and converting findings into sustained action.
  • Experience leading distributed teams and raising capability, consistency and accountability.
  • The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and secure action across organisational boundaries.
  • Ability to translate complex evidence into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Data and AI literacy, with the confidence to sponsor and draw on analytics and AI as an informed business owner, and to partner effectively with specialist analytics and technology teams. You will not build these solutions yourself; this is not a hands-on data engineering or AI development role.

Experience that would set you apart

  • Experience in recurring revenue, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, technology, software or managed services.
  • Experience building or maturing an assurance, controls or revenue-protection capability.
  • Familiarity with ERP, billing, ordering, pricing, contracting or customer data environments.
  • Experience sponsoring monitoring, automation or AI-enabled initiatives as a business owner.
  • Experience leading change across complex, multinational or matrixed organisations.

What success looks like in your first year

  • A clear global assurance operating model and risk-based prioritisation approach are embedded.
  • Leadership has transparent visibility of financial exposure, value recovered, remediation and residual risk.
  • The team operates with stronger capability, consistency and accountability.
  • Cross-functional issues move from identification to sustainable resolution.
  • A jointly prioritised assurance roadmap with Reporting & Analytics increases coverage without duplicating specialist capabilities.
