Job Summary

Equinix is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to support the company’s Digital & Innovation Organization. This is a wide-ranging role that supports a range of priorities across the function and serves as a trusted member of the global DIO Communications team, supporting the Chief Digital & Innovation Officer and advancing key business priorities. A primary focus is driving employee communications and engagement for our DIO team based in Bangalore.  

As a core member of Communications Team you will partner closely with leadership to foster a winning culture while cultivating new capabilities in key areas such as AI and visual storytelling. This role requires an individual who simplifies complexity and builds trusted relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders. 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Support and Program Management 

  • Global Collaboration: Work as a core member of the DIO Comms team to provide seamless "follow-the-sun" global coverage and ensure the DIO Communications strategy effectively lands in the APAC region

  • Unified Messaging: Support internal announcements and content development to ensure global consistency with local relevance, maintaining a consistent global narrative

  • Strategic Counsel: Provide communications counsel and support for DIO leadership, staying abreast of the latest trends to maximize impact

  • Content Creation: Produce a range of high-impact content, leveraging strong design skills in PowerPoint and SharePoint and utilizing AI tools to enhance and accelerate workflows and content creation

  • Risk Mitigation: Look around corners to identify regional risks, misalignments, or signals that need escalation or course correction

Regional Engagement and Pulse Model Execution 

  • High-Touch Engagement: Lead regional events, such as Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, and local sentiment mapping to drive employee connection for the Bangalore and Singapore hubs

  • Cultural Intelligence: Monitor local sentiment and cultural nuances, proactively addressing regional issues before they impact the global organization

  • Strategic Initiatives: Support the communications life cycle and creative content development for strategic products and DIO-led digital and AI initiatives such as Sidekick and The Equinix Brain

  • Communications and event support for interASIANconnect Equinix Employee Connection Network (EECN) in India and Singapore

Operational Hub Management 

  • Digital Ecosystem: Co-manage the DIO Central digital hub and the TechIT Hub, ensuring all technical information, messaging and knowledge assets are current and accessible, ensuring a single source of the truth

  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement to improve overall functional effectiveness and efficiency

Qualifications 

  • Experience: 7+ years of proven experience in integrated communications

  • Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the India and APAC talent landscape, with a proven track record of driving employee engagement and retention

  • Technical Artistry: Exceptional design skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into compelling visual stories

  • AI Proficiency: Proactive and innovative mindset regarding new AI tools and applications to enhance communications

  • Collaborative Leadership: Strong mindset to build cross-functional relationships and influence others across different time zones

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze data and use insights to formulate effective engagement tactics

  • Integrity: Values-driven, operating with a high level of integrity and discretion regarding sensitive organizational matters

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and a comfort with taking creative risks
