Job Summary

Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, specializing in Oracle Fusion Tax and cross-subledger tax processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with enterprise tax integrations, including third-party engines such as Vertex, and a strong background in solutioning complex finance and tax transformation programs

This role sits at the intersection of business process design, tax compliance, ERP configuration, and system integration, working closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver scalable Oracle ERP tax solutions.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Definition

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Tax within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP

  • Translate global tax compliance and finance requirements into functional specifications

  • Define end-to-end tax processes across Oracle subledgers:

-Accounts Payable (AP)

-Accounts Receivable (AR)

-General Ledger (GL)

-Procurement

Tax Solution Design & Integration Support

  • Support design and validation of integrations between Oracle Fusion Tax and Vertex

  • Work with architects to define tax calculation flows, exemptions, and jurisdiction rules

  • Understand the implications of E invoicing

Oracle Subledger Expertise

  • Deeply analyze subledger transaction flows impacting tax determination.

  • Validate tax applicability across upstream and downstream ERP processes

  • Ensure consistency of tax logic across AP, AR, Procurement, and GL

Solutioning & Functional Design

  • Participate in solutioning workshops with stakeholders to define scalable ERP tax solutions

  • Convert business problems into Oracle Fusion functional designs

  • Assist in resolving design gaps between business expectations and system capabilities

Testing & Implementation Support

  • Develop functional test scenarios for tax calculation and reporting flows

  • Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing for Oracle Fusion Tax & E invoicing

  • Validate end-to-end tax accuracy across integrated systems

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, Tax, IT, and external consulting teams

  • Act as liaison between business users and technical teams

  • Support global tax transformation initiatives

Qualifications

  • 8 + years of experience as a Business Analyst in ERP or Finance transformation programs

  • Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, especially Fusion Tax/Vertex

  • Experience across Oracle financial subledgers (AP, AR, GL, Procurement)

  • Hands-on experience with tax engines such as Vertex

  • Strong understanding of global tax concepts (VAT, GST, WHT, Sales & Use Tax)

  • Strong experience in documenting functional requirements

  • Proven experience in solutioning workshops and enterprise system design discussions

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in ERP implementation projects or tax transformation programs

  • Experience working in Big 4 consulting or enterprise SaaS environments

  • Familiarity with multi-country tax compliance processes
