Job Summary

Our Technical Solutions organization is seeking a senior level technologist who can leverage their technical expertise and market insights to drive strategic enterprise digital transformation acceleration programs and work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure alignment and success in achieving business goals.

As a Global Principal technologist, you will work with our technical sales team, marketing, product management, customer experience and business leaders to further Equinix’s market leading position in our industry. You will have vast experience specifically in selling to enterprise customers and supporting the full Equinix portfolio of products and services to enterprise customers in global markets. You are knowledgeable about current events and emerging technologies in cloud, network, and storage with a special focus on High Performance Data Center, Hybrid Multi-cloud Networking, and Private AI deployment methods. You are equally comfortable both in a business and technical setting and can explain technical concepts in a non-technical manner.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with GTST and Sales to qualify and deliver Solution Workshops for enterprise and service provider customers

  • Be the expert in enterprise buying patterns and business drivers as it relates to cloud computing and cloud economics

  • Partner with Segment Marketing, regional Sales territory leaders and local account-based Solutions Architects on holistic technical account strategy

  • Work with Marketing, Product Management, and technology partners to create and leverage design best practices and reference architectures highlighting Equinix’s key advantages and differentiators

  • Partner with APAC channel team and occasionally provide input on strategy and partner development

  • Participate in industry forums, analyst events, company webinars, blogs, and customer/partner events

  • Scale your impact by partnering with stakeholders to deliver training and enablement to field Sales, Technical Sales teams, and partners

  • Partner internally with Sales, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product Management, and others to drive go-to-market programs

Knowledge & Experience

  • 10-15 years demonstrated track record in technical sales or solution architect organizations

  • Senior technical background in deploying hybrid-cloud, public cloud, network, storage, and data center services

  • Fundamental understanding of Private AI use cases and deployment methods

  • Expertise selling Platform Equinix full portfolio based on customer use cases

  • Demonstrated experience in customer advocacy-related work

  • Experience with market-facing evangelism and thought leadership work

  • Experience designing, leading, growing and fostering robust programs for scaled enablement of other market facing technical selling teams

  • Strong understanding of how to develop and leverage partner networks to enhance influence and enable greater success

  • A thorough understanding of Equinix’s customers, partners, offerings, competitive landscape, and market opportunities

  • Experience with recurring revenue, sales complexity, solution selling, and enabling platforms for B2B

  • Adept at effectively navigating complex and matrixed organizations

  • Focus on execution and results – establishing high standards for performance, following through, and holding people accountable for results

  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with disparate teams and cultivate deep relationships to deliver customer value

  • Demonstrated skill set and vision as relating to Sales, Services, and technical architecture and implementation
