Job Summary

Contributes to the delivery of the Lead-to-Cash transformation by ensuring Order Platform capabilities align with streamlined, end-to-end commercial processes across the customer journey. The Director, Order Platform designs, develops, and manages the lifecycle of the platform Order capabilities that power Equinix's L2C transformation, spanning three Salesforce scrum teams: Order Enrichment, Order Execution, and Order API. Sets the vision and strategy for the Order Platform, ensuring it is competitively positioned, customer-centric, and architecturally sound through the Siebel-to-Salesforce migration.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of Product Managers, Product Owners, Process Architects, and contractors; provide leadership and direction through senior managers as the team scales

  • Accountable for the performance and results of direct reports and the broader pillar team

  • Drive succession planning recommendations and contribute to people development strategy

  • Own performance management of team members, including disciplinary actions and hire/fire decisions and recommendations

  • Lead the GPS process including assessments and Total Rewards allocations of direct reports

  • Drive talent development including quarterly conversations, career pathways conversations, and individual development and growth plans

  • Model Equinix Culture and Values

Pillar Scope and Product Ownership

  • Own the Order Platform across three scrum teams — Order Enrichment, Order Execution, and Order API — covering order capture through orchestration to downstream API consumers

  • Set vision and roadmap for Order Platform through Siebel decommission and beyond

  • Lead the technical migration of Order capabilities from Siebel to Salesforce Revenue Cloud, including order management workflows, orchestration logic, and API contracts

  • Drive the onboarding of the Order API scrum team, ensuring proper team formation, scope definition, and integration with existing Order Enrichment and Order Execution teams

  • Own Order Platform PI planning, capability prioritization, technical roadmap, and architectural alignment with Equinix's broader Salesforce platform strategy

  • Define pillar-level technical standards and architectural principles; ensure alignment with team-wide standards set by Product Operations and the Sr PM Order Platform & Salesforce Foundations

  • Drive continuous improvement in Order Platform delivery practices, technical quality, and platform reliability

Cross-functional Partnership

  • Coordinate with cross-functional leadership to ensure Product Management is effective across the Order Platform

  • Partner with peer pillars (Service Delivery, Customer Support & Case, Customer Success) on order-related dependencies

  • Coordinate with partner teams — CPQ, Billing, Portal, Data/MDM, and the Salesforce platform team — on upstream and downstream integration

  • Proactively engage with Director and VP-level stakeholders to drive alignment on Order Platform technical strategy

  • Partner with the Sr Product Manager, Product Operations on cross-pillar standards, frameworks, and intake governance

  • Represent Order Platform decisions to leadership and L2C program governance

Product / Domain Expertise

  • Seen as an advisor and thought leader on Salesforce Order Management and Order Orchestration — engaging regularly with internal teams and partner teams to explain the platform portfolio, technical strategy, and roadmap

  • Mentor the team in developing platform capabilities that resonate with the broader L2C ecosystem

  • Develop innovative approaches to scale Order Platform capabilities as transformation progresses

  • Build and maintain deep understanding of Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Order Management, and Order Orchestration as the platform foundation

  • Evangelize Order Platform capabilities across peer pillars and partner teams

Resource Allocation and Planning

  • Ensure resource allocations across the three Order scrum teams are aligned with organizational priorities and PI commitments

  • Work closely with peer Directors and Project Managers to track resource allocation and utilization across the Order Platform

  • Identify potential resource shortfalls and escalate proactively, particularly given the Order API team's onboarding-phase resource needs

  • Manage and escalate resource conflicts across cross-pillar dependencies

  • Provide input to capacity planning processes for the Order Platform's scrum teams and contractor pool allocation

  • Optimize resource allocation across the three scrum teams to maximize delivery throughput against L2C migration milestones

What success looks like in year 1

  • Order API scrum team fully onboarded, productive, and integrated with peer Order scrum teams

  • Successful delivery of Salesforce Revenue Cloud Order capabilities across two or more PIs with measurable progress against L2C migration milestones

  • Established cross-pod technical practices (notifications, reporting, permissions) that serve Order Platform and other pillars consistently

  • Clear architectural roadmap for Order Platform through Siebel decommission

  • Strong working relationships with CPQ, Billing, Portal, and Data/MDM partner teams enabling efficient cross-team delivery

Qualifications

  • 10+ years product management experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles managing technical platform teams

  • Demonstrated experience standing up new order platforms, including team formation, scope definition, and integration with existing systems

  • Deep expertise in Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Order Management, and Order Orchestration

  • Strong background in B2B order systems, particularly in industries with complex configurable products (telecom, data center, infrastructure, or comparable enterprise SaaS)

  • SAFe Agile experience including PI Planning, Capability/Epic management, multi-team coordination

  • Proven ability to lead technical migration programs from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms

  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills with engineering, architecture, and partner product teams

  • Demonstrated people leadership including succession planning, talent development, and performance management

Preferred qualifications

  • SAFe certification

  • Direct Siebel-to-Salesforce migration experience

  • Salesforce Order Management Specialist certification or equivalent platform expertise

  • Experience with API design, API governance, and microservices architecture

  • Background in data center, colocation, or interconnection businesses

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 166,000 - 248,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
