What You’ll Be Doing

Facility & Infrastructure Maintenance

You’ll use your technical knowledge to:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across facility systems
  • Complete repairs, installations, and system inspections
  • Monitor and respond to alarms in the Building Management System (BMS)
  • Operate plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems
  • Support energy‑efficiency initiatives
  • Work independently on daily tasks, with guidance on new or complex assignments

Vendor Coordination

You’ll:

  • Manage and track vendor work from start to finish
  • Review completed work to ensure top quality
  • Ensure all activities follow Equinix’s safety and operational procedures
  • Help maintain and update technical equipment documentation

Site Administration & Incident Response

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing MOPs, scripts, and other site documentation
  • Identifying Single Points of Failure and recommending improvements
  • Responding professionally to on‑site incidents and system issues
  • Following established procedures to ensure smooth site operations

Work Orders & Projects

You will:

  • Handle routine work requests and circuit installations
  • Troubleshoot and repair auxiliary or office equipment
  • Make minor adjustments to mechanical, electrical, or specialized systems
  • Support ongoing infrastructure improvement projects

Teamwork, Collaboration & Your Growth

  • Mentor team members on general maintenance tasks

What You Bring

  • BS7671 – 18th Edition is essential for a Level IV role, HV certifications are beneficial
  • Strong Ad-ons are Data Center specific certifications like CNet / IDCA or F-Gas
  • Strong understanding of facility systems and standard operating procedures
  • A proactive, detail‑driven mindset
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and high‑quality work
