Join our Operations Support Team as a Cross-Functional Intern!

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation Strong ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You must be living in the Netherlands.

In this exciting role, you will help improve our operational efficiency and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. You’ll work closely with local IBX Operations and other stakeholders, making a real impact on our team’s success.


Our Cross-Functional team is at the forefront of Equinix’s Continuous Improvement “movement” so your thoughts and ideas do not sit on the sidelines, we want to learn from you as you learn from us!


Cross-Functional Team – Ticketing System Review.
Background: In our Operations – Cross Functional department we implemented a new way of working through a ticketing system a few years ago. End users can make a request to our department through a dedicated form, and the ticket should end up at the correct sub-team automatically. Although the system seems to be widely adopted, there are some improvements that can be made to enhance the user experience and efficiency of the process.


What you’ll be doing: In order to improve the process, you will go through a number of steps:


• Utilise Lean tools to analyse the process from start to finish and identify waste.
• Gather data to analyse the end user experience.
• Provide guidance on where and how to make improvements to tools or processes.
• Potentially design and implement the suggested improvements.


Alongside your intern project this offers a comprehensive learning experience in operations, data management, and project support, supporting and learning from the team in the following key areas:


1. Application Support: Assist users with applications like Siebel and others, enhancing your problem-solving and customer service skills while broadening your technical knowledge.
2. Data Management: Gain experience in data auditing, optimisation, and using the Data Quality Management (DQM) Tool to ensure data integrity and address validation issues.
3. Operational Support: Learn about Data Center Operations, IT procurement, and process management to understand the processes that maintain operational efficiency and continuity.
4. Project and Request Management: Support various operational projects and handle project-related requests, developing your organisational and project management skills.
5. Compliance and Supplier Management: Assist with customer audit requests and manage supplier information, emphasising the importance of compliance, transparency, and effective communication in business operations.

Qualifications


• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation Strong ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with business proficiency in English and/or Dutch
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to create accurate reports and presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and eager to learn new software applications
