Job Summary
The Chief of Staff reports to the MD, xScale and is responsible for supporting the xScale leadership team in defining, planning, and overseeing the execution of business-critical initiatives. The individual in this role will excel at collaboration, be outcome-oriented through others and establish trust-based relationships both internally and externally. They will resolve complex situations and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, appropriately prioritizing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate demands. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong ability to be self-starting, be process oriented, and must possess strong communication skills and data analytic/research skills. The candidate will need to gain a deep understanding of the xScale business and the structure with JV partners. This is a key role in the Leadership team – this person needs to be a future thinker - see around corners, can anticipate what’s coming and prepares the LT accordingly. Help flex into the areas that need support at the right time, be an influential team member who excels at driving actions and fostering collaboration without relying on formal authority.
ResponsibilitiesProvide insight and guidance across the broader xScale teams to ensure the effective and timely execution of business-critical initiatives
Be a student and teacher of leadership – bring new methodologies in place to keep the leadership team performing at a high level
The ability to see around corners: The foresight and strategic awareness to anticipate challenges and opportunities before they emerge, allowing for proactive decision-making and preparation
Planning and Execution
Collaborate with the MD xScale, in partnership with xScale Leadership Team to identify and execute programs and projects with high-profile, business-critical dependencies and outcomes
Facilitate forums like xScale Leadership Team, cross functional all staff calls, leadership team offsite extended leadership forums. Contribute to and provide preparation materials for xScale reviews. Build xScale contribution for other internal and external forums
Act as a liaison to the executive team and stakeholder Chiefs of Staff to align and execute on strategic priorities, milestones, and deliverables. Work closely with xScale LT and provide input to JV Partners as required
Collaborate across internal organizations to facilitate key initiatives that contribute to achieving the overall xScale objectives
Communications
Develop and drive effective communications for the MD xScale, ensuring messaging is tailored for the intended audience (internal, customer, investor, analyst, media)
Contribute to creating a variety of executive presentations, including PowerPoint materials, video scripts, articles, and other communication vehicles
Provide regular updates to ensure teams work cohesively and achieve their shared goals in alignment with their objectives
Encourage feedback from stakeholders and help manage expectations
Be the Truth teller - elevate the unspoken voice, stitch together themes across the teams (internal, customer, investor, industry)
Project / Program Delivery
Demonstrate expertise in defining business requirements and project plans to coordinate team execution
Take responsibility for the program and/or project delivery of agreed initiatives containing multiple high-profile/business-critical dependencies

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
15+ years experience preferred
The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $198,000 to $298,000 per year
Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $177,000 to $265,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
