Job Summary:

Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates. Develops, modifies and executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect. Accountable for department budget which may be broad and have far reaching impact on the business segment.


Responsibilities

Management

· Manages experienced level professionals and/or may be responsible for subordinate managers.
· Manages team to work safely, effectively and with high regard to human error avoidance
· Manages personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development..
· Leads in project management and incident resolution.

Project / Infrastructure Site Management

· Plans, coordinates, approves budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers.
· Overall site and/or multi-site capacity management.

Vendor Management

· Manages the team to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, (KPI's) Key Performance Indicators and (SLA's) Service Level Agreements.

Testing

· Ensures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete
· Takeover of new builds and building infrastructure
· Approves all (MOP) Maintenance Operation Protocol scripts and permits
· Participates as part of the new facility/infrastructure design team

Incident Management

· Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during a complex or severe customer-impacting incident
· Drives root cause analysis and provides a clear direction
· Drives approval for incident resolution

Typical Degree & Years of Experience

Minimum of 12 years of related experience or equivalent work experience (12+). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - DC13 Washington DC : 150,000 - 224,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
