Who are we?
Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.
Role Description
This role is the connective tissue within GTM Transformation and is accountable for ensuring the CRO transformation portfolio lands as a coherent, end-to-end operating change across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Enablement, Finance, Product, and Technology. Where most program or project roles track status and surface issues, this role drives dependency ownership, sequencing, risk sensing, and resolution orchestration so that outcomes land predictably, not just plans and milestones. The portfolio this role integrates is not a comprehensive project registry; it is a deliberately small set of initiatives hand-selected by the CRO and CRO Leadership Team as the highest-leverage bets on the transformation. A core part of this role is also maintaining a strong pulse on the field and the CRO leadership team to proactively identify and recommend transformation opportunities, not just integrate what has already been decided.
This is not a program management role. It is a strategic orchestration role, the distinction matters. Where a program manager ensures workstreams execute, this role ensures the portfolio transforms.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Integration and Coherence
Maintain a single integrated view of the highest-impact CRO transformation initiatives, with explicit linkages across Strategy, Process, Change, Enablement, and Tech.
Identify cross-initiative collisions (timing, shared populations, process overlap, system dependency) and drive integration plans to resolve them.
Ensure initiatives land as complete operating changes, not partial outputs.
Strategic Orchestration and Dependency Resolution
Make dependencies explicit, owned, and time-bound, then drive the resolution path when they stall.
Convene the right leaders quickly, frame decisions crisply, and drive to closure rather than treating escalation as an end point.
Track decisions required as a first-class deliverable alongside status updates.
Sequencing and Trade-off Management
Drive alignment on what must happen first, what can run in parallel, and what must be deferred.
Bring structure to trade-offs across functions (capacity, timing, scope), keeping the portfolio coherent and executable.
Protect the integrity of the GTM North Star by preventing local optimization that creates system breakage downstream.
Manage the reality that the organization has finite capacity to absorb change — sequencing and bundling initiatives intelligently is as important as executing them.
Risk Intelligence and Active Mitigation
Maintain a forward-looking view of portfolio risk: identify leading indicators early and coordinate mitigations before risks materialize.
Surface risks with implications, options, and a recommended action, not simply a RAG status.
Ensure mitigation owners are clear and accountable, with mitigations integrated into sequencing and readiness plans.
Executive Rhythm (Lightweight, Outcome-Led)
Design and steward a light decision-making rhythm and operating cadence designed to accelerate alignment and reduce friction, not add meetings.
Keep exec-ready insight focused on movement, risks, decisions, and cross-functional interlocks.
Create the conditions for fast, high-quality decisions
Transformation Capability Building
Institutionalize integration patterns (dependency mapping, decision logs, readiness check frameworks) that build lasting execution muscle across the portfolio.
Strengthen how we execute transformation without rebuilding a PMO.
Champion a crawl, walk, run philosophy — helping the organization take meaningful early steps rather than waiting for the perfect solution. Progress over perfection is a core operating principle here.
What Success Looks Like
Fewer late-stage surprises: escalations caused by hidden dependencies or poor sequencing go down significantly.
Faster decisions: the right people are at the table, the problem is framed clearly, and resolution happens.
Initiatives that land completely: process, enablement, comms, measurement, and system readiness come together.
A portfolio that coheres: the CRO transformation tells a unified story, not a collection of parallel workstreams.
The organization's ability to execute complex transformation improves over time, not just this portfolio.
The CRO and CRO LT have clear, real-time confidence in portfolio health and can make consequential decisions without friction.
The transformation moves at pace — not waiting for perfection, but making deliberate, sequenced progress toward the 2030 horizon.
Skills, Experience, & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Engineering, or similar; equivalent experience welcomed.
Significant years in strategic transformation, portfolio orchestration, program leadership, or operating model design in GTM or CRO-type environments.
Proven ability to work across geographies and functions in a global, matrixed organization.
Comfortable with portfolio and program tools, but uses them to support clarity, not as a substitute for it.
Consulting, GTM transformation, or complex service delivery experience preferred, SaaS, platforms, or complex tech environments a plus.
Operates as a senior thought partner to CRO leadership
Comfortable operating in a multi-year transformation context where the destination is clear but the path requires continuous recalibration.
Strategic synthesis: ability to see across a complex, multi-initiative portfolio and make the whole more coherent than the sum of its parts
Executive communication: strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and craft board-level narratives.
Resolution leadership: moves the organization from stuck to decided, from misaligned to committed
Collaboration and influence: proven ability to lead through influence, build trust, and drive alignment across functions and regions.
Change leadership: ability to lead through ambiguity, drive transformation, and foster a culture of adaptability.
Transformation instinct: able to read organizational signals, identify where the next strategic intervention is needed, and bring a recommendation forward — not just respond to what is already on the agenda.
