Job Summary
The Technical Deployment Analyst is responsible for managing and coordinating customer deployment activities throughout the implementation lifecycle within Equinix data centers. This role serves as the primary technical coordinator across customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of colocation, power, interconnection, and infrastructure services.
The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge, project coordination capabilities, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset to deliver an exceptional deployment experience while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Customer Deployment Management
Coordinates end-to-end customer deployment activities for new installations, expansions, and modifications
Acts as a primary point of contact during implementation projects, ensuring clear communication with customers and stakeholders
Drives project milestones and deployment schedules to achieve committed delivery dates
Facilitates deployment kickoff meetings and ongoing project reviews
Identifies implementation risks and proactively develops mitigation strategies
Technical Coordination
Reviews customer requirements and validates deployment readiness
Partners with Operations, Engineering, Capacity Management, Supply Chain, and Customer Success teams to align deployment activities
Coordinates implementation of cabinets, cages, power circuits, structured cabling, and interconnection services
Ensures deployment documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained within established systems and processes
Supports technical issue resolution throughout the deployment lifecycle
Project Tracking and Operational Excellence
Maintains accurate deployment status, project plans, and implementation records
Provides timely updates and reporting to customers and internal stakeholders
Escalates project risks, scheduling conflicts, and customer-impacting issues as appropriate
Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives focused on deployment quality, efficiency, and customer experience
Supports adherence to operational standards, policies, and compliance requirements
Customer Experience
Delivers a highly responsive and customer-centric deployment experience
Builds trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Manages customer expectations through proactive communication and transparency
Supports smooth transition of completed deployments to ongoing operational support teams
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in technical deployment, project coordination, data center operations, telecommunications, networking, cloud infrastructure, or related technical environments
Knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, cabinets, cages, and structured cabling
Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Ethernet, fiber connectivity, and cross-connect services
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience in a colocation, cloud, telecommunications, managed services, or hyperscale environment
Familiarity with project management methodologies and deployment lifecycle management
Experience using Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar workflow tools
CAPM, PMP, ITIL Foundation, or related industry certifications
Understanding of customer onboarding, service delivery, and implementation processes

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - DC17 Washington DC : 67,400 - 101,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
