Job Summary
Lead inventory planning across Equinix’s global data center infrastructure equipment, ensuring optimal availability and deployment of capital equipment and materials to support data center growth, interconnection services, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end inventory planning for major capital equipment and supporting infrastructure across global data centers
Develop and maintain inventory strategies that align with capacity plans, deployment schedules, and business growth objectives
Forecast inventory requirements based on demand signals, deployment timelines, and historical consumption trends
Partner with Global Capacity Delivery, Supply Chain, and Data Center Operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective inventory availability
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Procurement teams to align inventory plans with new product introductions and infrastructure upgrades
Define and implement inventory planning processes, tools, and metrics to drive operational efficiency and reduce excess or obsolete stock
Monitor inventory levels across regions and proactively identify risks, shortages, or overstock situations
Work closely with Finance to support budget planning, cost optimization, and capital allocation strategies
Analyze usage patterns, lead times, and vendor performance to improve forecasting accuracy and supply resilience
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory visibility, planning automation, and data quality
Partner with supply chain to build dashboards and reporting tools for real-time inventory tracking and decision support
Lead cross-functional projects to streamline inventory workflows and enhance planning agility
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and sustainability goals related to inventory management
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
Proven experience in inventory planning, preferably in infrastructure, hardware, or data center environments
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in planning tools, ERP systems, and data visualization platforms
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 136,000 - 204,000 USD / Annual
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 131,000 - 181,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
