The focus of the role is to lead data analysis, aggregation, and documentation responsibilities of various Renewable Energy related workstreams. This individual will sit within the Renewable Energy and Cleantech Center of Excellence and work cross-functionally with members of the power, sustainability, accounting, and finance teams to develop processes for data collection and analysis. Candidates should be familiar working with energy data and have advanced excel skills. A plus is experience working in PowerBI and other tools helpful with data visualization.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day program and project assistance for key renewable energy workstreams across areas such as offsite PPAs, onsite PPAs, environmental commodities (RECs, GOs, etc.) and distributed energy technologies (fuel cells, batteries, etc.)
Responsible for developing & documenting renewable energy data processes and visualization of that data
Aid in developing global renewable energy asset management strategy
Assist in developing annual budgets for the Renewable Energy projects and perform periodic variance analyses
Author reports on project performance for internal and external teams
Assist in cash flow forecasting and management of global renewable energy projects
Develop other ad-hoc analyses as needed
Manage a variety of consultant relationships and coordinate with key internal stakeholders (accounting, treasury, finance, legal) to obtain the necessary buy-in and approvals
Support renewable energy and cleantech reporting, requiring heavy collaboration with Equinix’s Sustainability Program Office (SPO)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Renewable energy experience or education
Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel with Power BI & Tableau a plus
Ability to translate complex data sets into clear and concise visuals which can be used for decision making and/or executive level presentations
Knowledge of offsite and onsite PPAs, environmental commodities (RECs, GOs, etc.), carbon offsets, batteries, and fuel cells a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams with competing and sometimes urgent deadlines and experience influencing upwards to keep programs and projects moving
Communicate clearly and effectively: verbally, in writing and through presentations; successfully interfacing with internal and external teams

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $102,000 to $162,000 per year • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $94,000 to $149,000 per year • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $85,000 to $135,000 per year Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
