Przemysław Zera, Operations Compliance Manager from Poland, encapsulates this sentiment: “Equinix is not a regular. Unlike other global companies I have worked for in the past, I didn't notice any politics between employees or unhealthy competition. It was always about helping each other and collaborating to achieve the goal. For me, that was always the most important part of our culture – to achieve more together.”

One such returnee is Thomas Morrison, a Data Center Manager based in London. Thomas’s journey at Equinix exemplifies the growth opportunities available within the organization. Starting as a Specialist and advancing to Logistics Manager, he appreciates the company’s commitment to innovation and management styles that prioritize growth and leadership. “The encouragement to find better ways of working has been pivotal in my career progression,” he shares.

 

Equinix’s dedication to nurturing talent is further highlighted by Poh Lee Cheong, Data Center Customer Operations Assistant Manager. Cheong speaks highly of the opportunities he has encountered since his return, stating, “I was presented with multiple opportunities to participate and even lead in important initiatives. This included overseeing the IBX Visit Experience for our country lead and serving as the account holder for our yearly budget cycle discussion.” His experience underscores the company’s commitment to empowering employees and facilitating their professional journeys. Cheong also values the collaboration with other Operations teams across the APAC region, enhancing the overall work experience.

Equinix’s culture extends beyond professional development; it embodies a genuine commitment to employee well-being. Alex Wong, Lead Data Center Customer Operations Manager, emphasizes the company’s holistic approach: “We serve our employees with the same care as we serve our customers, always putting them at the center and taking ownership in serving them better.” This philosophy translates into various initiatives aimed at promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The company’s impact team actively organizes volunteering events, reinforcing the importance of community engagement. Wong notes, “I was impressed by how there is a honeycomb in the garden of one of our data centers, keeping our promise to environmental sustainability and balancing business with the environment.” Such initiatives reflect Equinix’s commitment to creating a workplace that values not only its employees but also the broader community and the planet.
