Job Summary

As a Principal Product Manager for Equinix Fabric, you will lead end-to-end product strategy, roadmap definition, and execution for core platform capabilities. You will shape the future of cloud networking, hybrid multi-cloud connectivity, and software-defined interconnection. You’ll partner closely with engineering, architecture, UX, operations, sales, and marketing to deliver impactful products that accelerate customer adoption and drive platform growth.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, customer needs, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and evolve the product vision and long-term roadmap for Equinix Fabric, aligned with company strategy and customer needs

  • Identify market opportunities in areas such as cloud networking, distributed architectures, network edge, and SDN/NFV

  • Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and investment plans for new capabilities

Product Development & Execution

  • Drive product requirements, feature prioritization, and backlog management with engineering teams

  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable product requirements and user experiences

  • Guide cross-functional teams through design, development, launch, and iteration

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Engage with enterprise, cloud, network, and digital service provider customers to understand use cases, pain points, and emerging trends

  • Partner with customer-success and field teams to support strategic customer conversations

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, operations, security, legal, and go-to-market teams

  • Enable sales and marketing teams with product positioning, messaging, and collateral

  • Serve as a thought leader in cloud networking, hybrid multicloud architecture, and ecosystem interconnection

Performance & Metrics

  • Define KPIs and success metrics to measure product performance and adoption

  • Analyze product and usage data to inform roadmap decisions and product optimizations

Qualifications

10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in cloud networking, service provider networking, hybrid multicloud, interconnection, or related domains.

Strong technical understanding of:

  • Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking fundamentals

  • Cloud networking services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, etc.)

  • SDN architectures and APIs

  • Network automation and orchestration platforms

  • Proven success delivering complex, platform-scale products

  • Ability to synthesize technical concepts into customer and business value

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills

  • Experience working with global engineering and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with interconnection platforms, carrier networking, or digital exchange services

  • Familiarity with network security, encryption, and zero-trust architectures

  • Exposure to ML/AI-based networking optimizations is a plus

  • MBA or background in strategy, business, or entrepreneurship

This posting is a new position within our organization.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 154,000 - 232,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
