The Security Engagement Lead, is a key member of the Information Security Leadership team. The leader will act as the strategic interface and conduit between the InfoSec team and the broader business.
Responsible for embedding cybersecurity within business strategy, ways of working, culture and decision making. Leading and enabling BISOs, leading security awareness initiatives and driving effective risk assessment and mitigation aligned with business priorities. This role ensures cybersecurity becomes a business enabler by building effective and trusted relationships across the enterprise, translating security risk into ways of working and becoming a common language, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across the business
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Engagement & Business Integration
- Build and nurture strategic relationships across the enterprise to embed cybersecurity into business strategy, culture, and decision-making.
- Translate business priorities into tailored cybersecurity engagement strategies that balance agility with risk tolerance.
- Ensure security is integrated into strategic initiatives from inception through execution, enabling secure innovation and growth.
BISO Operating Model Leadership
- Define and evolve the BISO framework to effectively partner with key functions, product lines, and / o geographies.
- Lead the BISO function as a strategic capability, embedding security within the business to drive ownership, accountability, and integration of cyber risk into decision-making.
- Align BISO activities with enterprise cybersecurity strategy, controls, and performance metrics.
Cybersecurity Culture & Awareness
- Champion a culture of shared cybersecurity ownership across all levels of the organization.
- Deliver clear, compelling communications to business leaders on the impact of cybersecurity risks, controls, and capabilities.
- Support the development of risk-informed performance indicators and decision frameworks for key business initiatives.
Enterprise Risk Stewardship
- Increase the speed-to-security in business initiatives through early intervention and trust-based collaboration.
- Provide executive visibility into security risks by function, transformation program and third party ecosystem
Qualifications
- Extensive leadership experience in cybersecurity or information risk management, ideally within the data center or technology sector.
- Proven track record of leading BISO or CISO teams in large, global, matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to translate cybersecurity concepts into business risk and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with business unit leaders, product owners, or P&L owners to influence strategic planning, digital transformation, or investment decisions.
- Deep understanding of how cybersecurity impacts business strategy, operational risk, customer trust, and regulatory obligations.
- Familiarity with the cybersecurity threat landscape, trends, and regulatory drivers relevant to the data center industry.
- Experience navigating regulated environments and aligning cybersecurity strategy with compliance requirements and business opportunities.
- Proven success in leading cultural transformation or awareness initiatives that reposition cybersecurity as a business-aligned enabler.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 250,000 - 374,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
