Job Summary

The Revenue Operations Market Intelligence team plays an important and influential role in Equinix's strategic direction and go-to-market success. As a RevOps Market Intelligence team member, this manager role will report directly to the Lead of Regional Intelligence.

The Market Intelligence team conducts research through “outside-in” (external data) and “inside-out” (internal data) analysis. As the APAC Market Intelligence lead, you will be collecting, recording, analysing, and delivering market insights about the digital infrastructure market in general and the colocation industry in particular, producing localised and country-level market insights, competitor battlecards, and a number of ad-hoc market intelligence requests from a variety of stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Corporate Development, and regional executives. To be successful in this role, requires the ability to organize data (both structured and unstructured) into actionable insights and the communication skills to present these insights to key stakeholders.

We have a preference, but not a requirement, for candidates with a background in market and competitive intelligence with experience in the technology sector. Existing knowledge of the colocation or IT hardware industries, including the main competitors, secular drivers and business trends is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Collect, record and analyse market and competitor data

• Build and develop enablement tools for sales / marketing personnel to be able to quickly gain a strong understanding of our competitors and market movements; you will become the source for industry and competitor information in APAC
• Curate daily industry news, competitor announcements, analyst research, among others
• Interact with  internal stakeholders, including sales and marketing, to understand their requirements and develop the appropriate competitive insights to address them
• Record information in a systematic way that can be consulted at a later date

•  Write in-depth analyses to be distributed internally on industry trends and competitor actionsExplain how these insights relate to different stakeholders within the company and the implications
• Understand Equinix’s current and emerging competitive threats and how to address them, from sales, marketing, and product perspective

Deliver market insights

• Generate insights using a variety of tools, including written insights, visuals, and presentations
• Ensure that the data used in all deliverables is accurate
• Meet deadlines and work simultaneously in different projects and requests
• Understand Equinix’s solutions and how do they compare to competing offerings
• Work on streamlining work, build efficiencies, and ensure scalability where possible

Build relationships with senior regional stakeholders and deliver tailored insights

• Identify key regional stakeholders
• Establish regular meetings with them to understand and anticipate business
• Design / implement solutions to meet these needs and consider how to standardize offerings across regions
• Effectively communicate findings through tailored reports, presentations, visualizations & scalable insights activation mechanisms to meet stakeholders' needs in a clear, concise, & engaging manner

Collaborate with the Market Intelligence team

• Support the Market Intelligence team with your knowledge
• Share skills with the rest of the team
• Generate ideas to improve the team’s processes and deliverables

Qualifications and skills

• Experience in managing large amounts of qualitative and quantitative information, analyse it, and communicate it in a simple and effective manner
• Ability to distill analysis, crystalize insights and make recommendations based on analysis in both data visualizations and verbal presentations
• Fluent in English; a second language relevant to the Equinix region is a plus
• Experience in working with senior stakeholders
• Exceptional written and data-driven story telling communication skills
• Proficient user of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and basic knowledge of Business Intelligence tools
• Bachelors degree or two years minimum work experience and experience in the Data Center industry in a Regional role
• Detail oriented with ability to independently validate / triangulate data and analysis
• Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and maintain strong team relationships
• Global mindset, keen to work in an international, multicultural environment
• Interest in the technology industry
• Passion for learning - self-motivated and curious, asking clarifying questions to research issues, business needs, and underlying processes
