Job Summary

The Director, Business Optimization Programs, AMER works in the Global Markets and Product group, reporting to the VP of Business Operations. This role works very closely with the President of AMER and the Americas Leadership team to drive projects and programs with material business value. With a $4B revenue base coming from 7 countries and 27 metros, the Americas team regularly finds challenges or opportunities that can be driven regionally, coordinating strongly with the global teams. This role would ensure that these projects, defined by the Americas President, complete fully and realize maximum business value.

  • Lead cross-functional programs to improve strategy/tactics development and execution in the Americas region  

  • Ensure that projects and programs are defined adequately (working with the Sr Dir, Program Management and the VP of Business Operations)

  • Drive accountability and action for these projects and programs

  • Ensure that these programs not only complete correctly but realize their business value within often-changing industry and enterprise conditions 

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional programs to improve strategy/tactics development and execution in the Americas region  

  • Ensure that projects and programs are defined adequately (working with the Sr Dir, Program Management and the VP of Business Operations)

  • Drive accountability and action for these projects and programs

  • Ensure that these programs not only complete correctly but realize their business value within often-changing industry and enterprise conditions 

Qualifications

  • Effective business leader who can build relationships across the organization and balance tradeoffs between efficiency and effectiveness 

  • Experience on cross-functional programs that have added measurable value

  • Experience trading off speed and completeness to drive programs 

  • Broad experience drive change across countries and departments, bringing people together who have multifaceted viewpoints and perspectives 

  • Track record of solving cross-functional and cross-regional problems at the company  

  • Inspire the team to work carefully but creatively with business results in mind 

  • Ability to work autonomously, with little day-to-day supervision

Skills and Attributes:

  • 10+ years of experience at a high growth tech company or technology-focused enterprise in business operations, data center infrastructure  

  • Hands-on expertise in driving impactful cross-functional programs 

  • Graceful under pressure, with the ability to create both full, scalable solutions and quick but incisive analyses 

  • Demonstrated experience working across regions and departments 

  • In-service-to leadership style, working with a number of teams to craft creative solutions to potential problems  

  • Executive presence and demonstrated success building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business 

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Denver Office DEO : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual

United States - Ashburn Office AEO : 171,000 - 257,000 USD / Annual

Canada : 154,000 - 232,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
