Data Centre Critical Facilities Supervisor

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Critical Facilities Supervisor. In this key position, you will have the opportunity to guide and develop a team of engineering professionals.

As the Critical Facilities Supervisor, you will lead and support IBX based projects, ensuring the smooth operation of key infrastructure. Your role will involve leading and engaging with others, as well as utilizing your technical expertise. Being flexible and identifying the needs of the team and the business will be crucial to your success.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and supervise a team of skilled support members, providing support, guidance and directions
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and maintain schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
• Develop team members, identifying areas of strength and growth to build internal talent.

Project and Infrastructure Site Management:

• Plan, coordinate, and budget resources for projects and maintenance within our state-of-the-art data centers.
• Execute routine tasks and meet unit targets, ensuring smooth operations on a weekly basis.
• Provide valuable input and guidance towards budget planning.
• Oversee site capacity to ensure optimal performance.

Vendor Management:

• Ensure contractors adhere to Equinix's high standards, overseeing their work and operations.

Testing and Incident Management:

• Assist with start-up tests, meticulously documenting and reporting any issues.
• Communicate and coordinate activities with on-site staff during incidents, ensuring swift resolution.

Your profile:

• Minimum completed MBO education (preferably in a technical field).
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading and developing others; team engagement is vital.
• Demonstrable work experience in a technical field
• Service-oriented and solution-focused.
• Motivated and flexible.
• Based in Amsterdam or surrounding area
