Job Summary
The Vice President of Investor Relations is a strategic and transformational leader responsible for the vision, thought leadership, and execution of our Investor Relations strategy and execution. This leader will align vision, strategic direction and program implementation globally, with a strong partnership with the CEO, CFO, Office of the CEO, Financial Planning & Analysis and Communications teams.
Responsibilities
Investor Engagement
Develop and execute the global investor relations strategy to support Equinix's business objectives and communicate its growth strategy effectively to the investment community
Lead the development, in partnership with the CFO/CEO, of investor marketing, media presence, messaging, scripts and internal talking points
Develop the investor conference yearly plan to ensure CEO, CFO, E-Team presence and influence within the investor community
Lead investor management activities related to complex, crisis-related market responses
Organize and oversee the planning and execution of Equinix's biannual Analyst Day event, which includes developing messaging strategy and setting long-term guidance
Financial Insights
Lead the quarterly earnings process, including the preparation of scripts, earnings releases, financial reports, and investor presentations to ensure accurate, transparent, and timely communication of financial results and business updates
Develop and own business metrics disclosure strategies and execution
Maintain a deep understanding of Equinix's financials, business strategies, and competitive positioning to effectively represent the company
Translate business forecasts into digestible investor messages and guidance
Assess investor and market trends and develop recommendations to improve Equinix’s position with the investor community
Lead Teams and Influence Stakeholders
Work closely with the finance and executive teams to provide regular updates on investor sentiment, market trends, and potential opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including communications, finance, legal, and product to ensure consistency in messaging and strategy alignment
Lead, develop and mentor the investor relations team to foster a high-performance culture
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred
10+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, or finance with a strong understanding of capital markets, financial modeling, and valuation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely
Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with analysts, investors, and other key stakeholders
Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge of the technology and data center industry
Experience working with or expertise in REIT's a plus
Possess a high-level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
An energetic, efficient, and resourceful team leader

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 298,000 - 446,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
