Position Overview:

As a Senior Account Executive in Managed Solutions, you will lead strategic sales efforts for Equinix’s innovative solutions, with a strong focus on Managed Solutions, including offerings like Managed Private Cloud (MPC), Managed Private Back-up (MPB), Managed Private Storage (MPS), Managed Private Firewall (MPF) and Equinix Fabric. Operating in an overlay capacity, you will collaborate closely with Field Sales teams, Mid Market Sales teams, Channel Sales teams, technical experts, and partner networks to deliver tailored solutions that meet customers’ evolving needs for secure, scalable, and high-performance digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership:
    • Serve as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Managed Solutions, driving awareness and adoption across key accounts in the UK region.
    • Collaborate with Field Sales, Mid Market Sales and Specialist teams to develop and execute sales strategies for growing the EMS (Equinix Managed Solutions) business.
    • Present tailored solutions to customers, in collaboration with Managed Solutions Architects and GTST, addressing challenges like hybrid cloud, platform strategies and multicloud connectivity.
  • Pipeline Development & Opportunity Management:
    • Identify, qualify, and nurture opportunities for Managed Solutions within both existing and prospective accounts, in collaboration with the UK Field Sales and Mid Market Sales teams.
    • Support forecasting processes and pipeline management by leveraging tools such as SFDC to track deals through the lifecycle.
  • Solution Design & Positioning:
    • Partner with technical resources, such as Managed Solutions Architects (MSA), Global Solutions Architects (GSA) and Sales Engineers (SEs), to design scalable and compliant solutions that address customer challenges.
    • Educate customers on key offerings like MPC, MPB, MPF and MPS, showcasing benefits like scalable, flexible and secure private cloud environments, cloud prioritizationmulticloud connectivity, high availability, and seamless integration with Equinix Fabric.
  • Customer Engagement & Collaboration:
    • Establish strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including network and infrastructure architectsVPs of Cloud Connectivity, and security leaders.
  • Quota Responsibility & Sales Performance:
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets by driving adoption of Managed Solutions as part of the broader Equinix portfolio.
    • Ensure accurate recognition and compensation for EMS line items as per established guidelines.

Key Qualifications:

  • Sales Expertise:
    • Proven success in a quota-carrying role within an overlay sales capacity, ideally in managed solutions or digital infrastructure.
    • Strong understanding of managed services (e.g., firewalls, network edge, multicloud architecture) and SaaS/IaaS models.
  • Technical Acumen:
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse customer audiences.
  • Customer-Centric Approach:
    • Track record of building long-term customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering tailored solutions for specific business challenges.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to align Equinix’s offerings with customer goals for securityagility, and performance.
  • Collaboration & Influence:
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams, engaging with technical sales, Field Sales and Mid Market sales teams, marketing, and product experts to close deals.
    • Ability to act as a motivational leader and coach for internal account teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in network solutions, cloud services, and security technologies.
  • Experience in tools such as SFDC for deal management.
  • Knowledge of industry compliance requirements and best practices for secure infrastructures.

  • Position with a primary focus on UK region, depending on market needs.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary, commission structure, and benefits aligned with the EMS recognition and quota rules.
